There are many places of intetest nearby, the beautiful greek temple at Metaponto, the local area is named Magna Grecia, following a period of greek occupation, the wonderful sassi at Matera and the trulli,s at Alberobello to name but a few, or you can just relax around the pool for a lazy day.
