Maurset is the start of Hardangervidda to the west, where you can explore nature and the abundant wildlife and birdlife. Why not take a trip to Bla, Dyranut and Finse. You are also a short distance from the land trade and just a short drive away you will find the spectacular waterfall Vøringsfossen, the village of Eidfjord with the most facilities on the Hardangerfjord. It is recommended to drive on the national tourist routes along the Hardangerfjord, which offer rich nature and sights along the way. Note: Please note that the house can only be reached via a very steep gravel road with some holes. In winter, this is not to be driven and reach the house on foot, a paid snowmobile can be booked.

Please note that: Bed linen and towels are not included in the room rate in 2025; guests have to rent them at the property for an additional charge of NOK 150.00 per person. Consumption costs are included in the room rate.
