It owes its name to its exposure to the East (also the name of the street where it is located) and to the ancient name of Guardiagrele (Aelion).

Guardiagrele was referred to by Gabriele D'Annunzio, in his novel "The Triumph of Death," as "The Terrace of Abruzzo" because of its splendid view of the Adriatic and also as the "city of stone" because of the whiteness of the white Majella stone that characterizes its architecture.

The apartment is located 20 minutes away from the sea with its famous "Costa dei trabocchi" and 20 minutes away from the mountains with access to ski slopes.
