About the host
Hosted by Debby Smith
We are an older couple, retired from the civil service, and like to meet new people. Covid was hell! We travel a bit in the winter months but are busy with our animals and the yard in the spring, summer and fall months. We enjoy helping guests find their way around parts of the Island and are very pleased when we meet and exceed peoples' expectations. Between the two of us our interests pretty much cover everything!
Why they chose this property
It's peaceful, rural, but close to a small city, and very central to other places on the Island. The apartment has some high end features, like radiant floor heat in the ensuite, an upgraded gas fireplace, a den, an extra large bedroom and an open kitchen. Your own carport with EV charger. In the summer the outdoor patio is large and is surrounded by 3 perennial beds. We live at the other end of the house and so see you at your convenience. And it's ok to bring a small, medium dog. We have one that may wander into the garden. He's really friendly.
What makes this property unique
Central to the South end of the Island close to recreational activities, Duncan Leisure Centre, Saturday Summer Market, the Raptor centre, biking, Trans Canada Trail, hiking trails galore. The house is only 5 years old so has more modern features.
