Our room was great with a fantastic view. The first room we were in had old musty smelling carpet but they were able to move us to another room the day after check in. The second room was much better. Staff were very helpful.

The view of ocean from our suite was incredible. You walk down from the room and the beach is just 10 feet away. The front desk and concierge staff were courteous and happy receiving us. Bedroom, living room with ocean view and kitchen were big and fabulous. You have a couple of very good restaurants nearby, eg, Duke’s. The only downside was extra payment for housekeeping service.

Very Bad Room Service

The hotel was very dingy and looked much older than the photos provided. They did not do room cleaning service, as per their policy since COVID, which is neither mentioned in hotels.com posting nor their website. The did not provide any water or any room service that every other American hotels provide. The duvet was not cleaned and my wife got rash from it. There is also no food service at all so we had to go to bed hungry on our first day after arriving at 11 pm at night. Won’t come back!

The beach is not swimmable out front of this resort, there’s a coral reef. The winds are big around the pool but the resort is beautiful, rooms are gorgeous with a one of a kind view from a 2 bedroom unit, all corner units with floor to ceiling windows.

We have stayed here four ( 4 ) times, and have only positives to report. The location right on the beach is the main feature - beautiful views, steps to the beach ( although there is no swimming right in front due to the coral ). The amenities ( pool, hot tub, chairs, etc ) are all good. There is no restaurant at the location, but several within walking distance. Check-in and check-out are seamless, all staff were very friendly and efficient. Parking is very convenient. No issues whatsoever. Highly recommended!

The service of the front desk and the room service people are amazing. The location of the hotel and the facilities are also great. Be aware of the concierge service. We had a terrible lady who booked trips for us way higher than online booking . She booked us a terrible trip for dolphins watch that we paid over $160 for 3 of us and did not see one single dolphin for 3 hours of terrible ocean ride with punch of teenager operators and her response you could call 800 number to get another trip within one year!!!!!??? We enjoyed our stay in Maui which is a great amazing island

Everything great except the beach

Okay so the views are amazing from the room and mahana was very nicely kept. However the beach area in front of it is probably one of the worst in Maui. The beach is full of rocks everywhere and the lady at the front even told us don’t use the beach area in front of the hotel as it’s unusable. If you don’t care for the beach too much or are okay to travel by car for a 10 min drive then hotel and everything was great. But if you are going there for a great beach then I would not recommend it. Go to napili beach are which is a fantastic beach

We stayed in a condo on the 12th floor with amazing ocean views and fantastic whale & sea life before us. The location of the Mahana is very convenient, close to the board walk, shops and the bus. It is strictly a condo facility, with a pool and right beside the ocean so was perfect for us but few additional activities so may not be suitable for a family with children.

The view was crazy great from the deluxe room. The cockroaches not so much! My niece woke up with a big guy in her mouth gross. They were all over the kitchen babies in the cupboards before we even had food. Big cockroaches under the stove they were in the freezer fridge & even dishwasher. I am not sure where they were coming from but it was awful. We were scared to cook. Oh the stove broke our first night so they sent security who pulled it out & unplugged more cockroaches running out. No stove/oven whole trip. I’m waiting for a response from someone anyone

I have sent emails with no response. My niece woke up with a cockroach in her mouth. They were in our cupboards big ones little ones coming from under the stove up the sides even somehow in the fridge & we turned on the dish washer & when I went to unload dead cockroaches flaying on top of the bottoms of cups & stuffs. At least I think they were dead I garbarated them anyway. Also the stove broke right after we checked in which remained unusable for the whole stay. Multiple security & other stove people in out all day for everyday except check out. 4-5 x a day is not good. Please contact me

Pros- all the rooms have an ocean view. Reason why we booked here. - we had our own washer and dryer in the room. Not the greatest but they did the job. - daily housekeeping service (mostly) Cons - bugs in the dishwasher. Couldn’t get rid of them. As soon as we killed them more would come. We figure they were coming up the drain. Uuuugh! - we were charged the daily amenity fee the day after we checked in without being told this would happen. At other resorts we are charged at the end of our stay. Would have been nice to know about this in advance. - this resort has no restaurant and no store unlike the other resorts in the area. - the property is designed in such a way that the buildings block the sun from the pool for much of the day. Disappointing. Overall this resort was not as upscale as we expected for the price.

Fantastic ocean front views. Nice quiet property in great location with access to beaches and some convenient walking distance shopping to stock up the apartment, and lovely live jazz bar/resto close by. Well-stocked kitchen appliances, plates etc. Not crazy about the Murphy bed in our premium studio apartment and the maintenance couldn't get out toilet fixed so it would stop running continuously.
