Do not recommend this property

We cancelled our reservation and went elsewhere - apart from the overall poor condition of the property, the patio door did not lock - we were put on the second floor so it would have been easy for anyone to jump onto the balcony and enter the unit. The safety issue was the final straw for us but the condition of the property was definately poor. When we arrived (around 6 pm), there was no reception. The reception/entrance area was filled with large rolling bins of soiled laundry and looked like it had not been updated for many years. Instead instructions to use a phone on the wall to call a different property next door to check in. The phone did not work. So we went to the other property to check in (and while you need to go there to check in, none of the amenities at that property are available to guests of the Kahana Beach Club).

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is right on the beach and although it only has a few amenities, it is well kept and provides everything you need. Its clean and the rooms are well equipped. If you dont want to rent a car, it is right by a bus stop. We thought it was great value. I would stay again...but would bring my own pillows! That would be my only feedback, they need to replace the pillows.

Beautiful location, we were lucky enough to get a beach view suite. The area around the resort was super clean and safe, you see many people go for a run and walk with their dog. The only negative thing we encountered was that the lady at the reception was not friendly, she was too quick to end the conversation as soon as anyone asked her anything. It seems like she has other important thing to do, starring at her phone. very unprofessional. Other than that everything about this resort was wonderful

Beautiful views, comfortable bed and sofa bed. Great location. Reasonable prices. This is a condo with shared washer dryer on every other floor. Kitchen is missing a dishwasher and does not have an oven but does have a stovetop and toaster.

Overall, we were very very pleased with the accommodation. Late arrival was easily accommodated. The view outside of our balcony was spectacular. We could not get enough of the view of the ocean and of the beautiful sunsets that made us not really want to leave the room much except to go swimming in the ocean just to below. Beautiful walks along the beach. A very swimmable safe beach below. Multiple sightings of turtles. The room is quite adequate for our needs. Up-to-date bathroom. Microwave, stove top and all the necessary pots, pans, utensils etc. No dishwasher. The queen bed was nice and comfy. No Murphy bed! There was also a pull out couch so in a pinch four people could be accommodated with seating for four around the dining table as well. Air-conditioning worked very well. Would happily come here again; indeed plan to visit again this autumn. Only negative is that parking is pretty tight but not a dealbreaker.

We will be back!

We absolutely loved our stay, and we will be back! You cannot beat the view as it’s the best we’ve ever stayed at if you get ocean view and the beach right in front is fantastic and never busy. We watched whales and dolphins right out our window. No room service though but they were very prompt with extra towels when needed.

Location, location, location. The hotel is on the very shore of the ocean. The flip side, the ocean is very loud, but it doesn't spoiled the impression :-). The room was huge, it had two (!) queen-size beds, sufficient for the accommodation of 4 people without any inconveniences. The kitchenette allowed us to save tons of money, we visited Costco soon after the arrival and bought everything necessary for a week of full scale breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Laundry room is on the every floor, all the room facilities are completely equipped. We did not use a BBQ outside, but they are looked like being in a good condition. The best hallmark of this hotel is the ocean view from all (!) rooms. It is just 7 rooms on every of 12 floors and the only rooms that potentially can be obstructed are on the first and may be on the second floor. And it is important, try to avoid rooms ended by 7 (107 to 1207) when it is still renovation over there. Their windows are obstructed by the scaffolds, have tools and concrete mixers over there and doors to the balcony are blocked.
