Great “little house” and super staff. Bad wifi

Lovely and large cabana with kitchen, table, etc. the staff was impeccable in taking care. Unfortunately the wifi is yo-yo like and we had no hot water due to a malfunction. It took a few days to rectify and then we got warm water.

We enjoyed our short stay at this property. The nature hike was educational - I think we even saw a Quetzal. Kitchen was well equipped but we didn’t really get a chance to use it. We were able to sit out on our quiet deck to watch the stars and the birds in the morning. Staff were very kind. quiet

Cabanas La Pradera was terrific in every way. Clean, comfortable. Well equipped kitchen. Large windows (which were unbelievable clean!!) allowed for great views to the surroundings. Melissa was super helpful with helping us organize tours. This place is a bit out of town so guests likely need a car to get around.

Overall the property is very nice with good upkeep. However, there is no a/c in the cabins which is fine if the wind is blowing and you can have the windows open, and it wouldn't be bad either if there were ceiling fans. The pool was quite dirty and very cold. The property is not located within easy walking distance to Santa Elena so you need a taxi ($4 USD). Having a full kitchen is definitely convenient and much appreciated. The owners are very friendly and helpful.

Amazing place and service!!

Monteverde is a must on a trip to Costa Rica but what made it so special for us was the hospitality of Tony’s family at Cabanas La Pradera. The cabin is spatious, comfortable and on a beautiful, sunny and peaceful property just on the edge of town. Tony made excellent recommendations for canopy tours, night walks, restaurants and parks and he helped us make arrangements for bookings and transportation from the hotel. He and his parents were so gracious when they helped us boost our dead car battery twice and contact the car rental company. We were very grateful for them and our time in Monteverde!

Very accommodating hosts

Our hosts were wonderful; took care of booking our tours and calling taxis for us. The only downside to the hotel is location. It is about 1.5 kms from the town of Santa Elena so we usually had to call a cab. We did walk it a couple of times but you have to walk on the side of a narrow gravel road, and the route is quite hilly. I would not recommend walking to the hotel in the dark.

very safe and very beautiful

It was amazing from check in to check out. Very helpful and great English from the young host. It's very quaint with several cabinas around. Great value and about 3 minute drive to downtown Santa Elena. Wifi was not great in my cabin (number ten I think) but closer. To the pool and main office it was great. The pool was cold but very refreshing. The cabinas were clean and very well looked after with everything you need.

Amazing and memorable stay

This place is amazing and the owners are so nice and welcoming, I felt like we had vip service for everything we needed haha! They booked all of our ziplining, atv and night walk tours, and even booked the Tree House restaurant for Valentine's day - and we had the best table once we got there. I 100% recommend this place. Very nice

Very nice small houses, everything you could possibly need is in there, kitchen, fridge, everything. There's a pool, a small 6-700m hiking trail... Great place to spend some time and lots of things to to around. Wifi reasonably good for Costa Rica.

Get away in nature in your own space

Our stay at this cottage in Monteverde was incredibly relaxing. It had everything we needed, including a nice kitchen, and offered a quiet, comfortable retreat. We especially loved the natural surroundings, with a beautiful 2km network of nature paths right on the property—perfect for peaceful walks. The owner/manager was friendly and very helpful, adding to the overall wonderful experience. The only downside was that the Wi-Fi wasn’t very reliable, but everything else more than made up for it. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind in nature!

Bon emplacement tranquille pour visiter la région de Monteverde. De bons conseils de la propriétaire. Très beau jardin, arbres fruitiers et plantations, de magnifiques oiseaux à observer. The staff is amazing and extremely helpful. Our cabin overlooked the trees with birds galore. Plenty of trails around the property with a fish hatchery, flowers, fruit, etc. we opted for breakfast the first day but didn’t realize we were to tell them on the next day. Not sure what happened. Defiant would stay again. Pool was freezing so we couldn’t enjoy it very much when we were there.
