We had along stay at another apartment 173 in the building but had to vacate for a long weekend for another guest. Both apartments were fabulous,good location downtown, walking to CBD, casino, river, ferries, park, museums.

Excellent location, good front desk staff, clean spacious room (1 bedroom with a view), comfortable bed and nice kitchen facilities. Close walk to Eagle Street Pier where you can get on a City Hopper Boat (free) or ride on the City Cat boat (part of the TransLink Bus/Train/Boat system - buy a GoCard at any 7-Eleven or train station). The only thing we didn't like was the list of instructions of what needed to be done before we left so we didn't incur extra cleaning charges - such as, running the dishwasher, cleaning any trash that may have fallen out of the bin under the kitchen sink and empty any food/drink from the fridge.

I really appreciated the option to opt out of daily service and receive a $5 coupon for a local cafe for each day I opted out of. I never understand why people need new towels everyday and someone else to make their bed for them.

Room to sleep but not that neat

Two king beds were great but don't try to meet in the middle very uncomfortable. The additional cot allowed room for the whole family zzzzz. Dining table chairs damaged and bathroom showing it's age. Elevators x3 SLOOOOOW I've never waited that long. Overall nice stay great location.

Great location

If you want to be located close to the waterfront, restaurants, shopping and even a lovely urban park you couldn't ask for a better location. The staff are attentive and very helpful and the rooms were clean and well sized with great views. The hotel itself is showing signs of age and some neglect.

what a view of the river! Unbelievable!!

Loved the apartment, perfect space for the 3 of us travelling, the balcony and the view were awesome, pool was crowded tho. Everything was clean, close to all the shopping you could want, perfect location for sightseeing too. Loved it!

Excellent location need Eagle Street Pier and the entire CBD was easy walking distance. No free WiFi which is unusual in this day and age. Overall, an excellent hotel.

This was a great lace to stay I was headed back home and my daughter was moving on so having the laundry in the room was great. The only down fall was the parking charge was very high along with the Internet. But if you were looking for a place to stay for a week this would be great.

Nicely located hotel with large rooms

The hotel is well located, close to Queen's street mall and the riverfront restaurants. I only stayed one night and overall it was fine. However, the "queen" size bed is actually two singles pushed together and because of this the middle of the bed is raised up where the two singles join, making for an uncomfortable sleep. The shower could use a good cleaning to get rid of the mildew. The room is a small apartment, has a kitchenette, and a washer and dryer. The staff were pleasant but for the cost and if you only need a standard hotel room and not an apartment there are likely better options nearby.

Great Stay - For Business or Leisure

Oaks on Felix is a great hotel - given I have stayed in hotels in over 10 countries around the world - I feel my assessment is valid. The check in process was smooth and efficient and car parking was easy to access. The staff were friendly and professional. Our room was on the 36th floor and had amazing views out into the city and the beautiful Brisbane river. The room provided a range of conveniences including a dishwasher, fridge, microwave, kettle and washing machine - all of which I used. There was also a full size oven and cooking range - although I didnt use it given the proximity of excellent restaurants on eagle street pier. The room had an aircon and the bed was very comfortable. There was also tv with some cable and free to air channels, as well as a dvd player that was easy to operate. Housekeeping attended to the room every day and all things were replenished - e.g. new washing powder was provided when needed as well as the usual things like soap and shampoo. I was there on a leisure trip - however if I were ever in Brisbane on business, Oaks on Felix would be my first choice. Great stay - hope I can come back some day!!!

Great apartment hotel in a great location!

After a previous unhappy experience at an Oaks property in another city we were a bit worried about this place but our fears were totally unfounded. Granted, this is an apartment hotel and as such doesn't have a lot of splash or amenities like a concierge or a restaurant but what it does have is large, clean and comfortable, well laid out apartment accommodation. We chose the one bedroom apartment which included a separate living/kitchen area and a small balcony with a view of the downtown core. Having a washer and dryer in the apartment was also a nice touch for a couple who were half way through a 30 day trip. There was also a small fitness center and a pool (which we never used). The front desk staff were helpful and courteous. The hotel is located between the city's financial district and the waterfront entertainment district. The Brisbane riverside complex is just across the street and around one office building. Here you can stroll along the riverfront and have your choice of a wide array of restaurants and bars as well as get easy access to Brisbane's amazing fleet of City Cat water taxis (what a great way to explore the city for the price of a bus ticket!) Just off in the other direction from the hotel are Brisbane's botanical gardens where you can enjoy a stroll amongst a variety of well marked species of trees and plants. A walk to the area's shopping district is also doable (I'd guess about a 6 or 8 block walk).

Upon check-in we were given a 2 bedroom apt where they had locked off the master bedroom so we had to use the second smaller room. The apt was dark & dingy, the walls needed a wash and fresh coat of paint. The apt smelled musty/moldy. I was afraid to sit on the couch. When I went down to ask for a cleaner apt, they said it would be much smaller. I was given a 1 bdrm apt, which is what we had booked in the first place. The apartment was a decent size with a much bigger bedroom. It was cleaner than the previous, so we took it. We spent 5 nights with a dishwasher and a clothes dryer that did not work. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
