Very basic property. Booked as it had a kitchen and good location. But very dated and absolutely no frills. Essentially a motel or dorm style residence. Given we were out most days just needed a clean place to sleep so was fine but likely wouldnt stay again.

Friendly Staff

The hotel is very basic and could use some updating. Although there is a smell of bleach Which usually indicates clean, I found it was more surface clean. The switch for the fan was sticky and the sofa could use a deep clean. I did find the staff very pleasant and helpful.

In general I just found it dingy, cupboards smelt like mould, things were always leaking in the bathroom leaving puddles on the floor but could never figure out form where. Decorator pillows had large disgusting stains on them. Couch was so horribly stained I wouldn’t sit on it.

Very good value for the prices they charge. I wanted a place with a kitchen and this had a kitchen and basic dishes and pans which was great. Staff were good and polite. One small thing is I'm not sure if they washed the sheets before I checked in, the bed and the spare sheets smelled very musty. The room size was much bigger than I expected and there was a very large patio available for use also. Overall I would recommend and would stay here again.

Poor start:We did not receive the code to enter the building from Expedia. We were left standing outside after 24 hours of traveling from Canada. Everything was closed on a Sunday afternoon/evening. Just got lucky that a front desk person came by and let us in! Room was a suite with washer/dryer. Bathroom needs update. Good location and day staff was friendly.

Couldn't ask for anything better.

We had a late arrival and was very happy to receive the instructions by email before our arrival on how to gain access to our room. The instructions were clear and made the access easy. On checking in the next morning with the staff they were exceptionally helpful and friendly. We were given advice on things to see and do and was even offered an umbrella as it was raining pretty hard. The room was clean, the kitchenette was fully stocked with everything we needed including a small carton of milk which was lovely to be able to make tea and coffee the next morning. Even on checkout we were allowed extra time as we were picking up a camper van. We were able to leave our bags and load the campervan right from the hotel room...It was awesome, thanks so much for letting us do that especially as it was the worst rain storm in recent times in Cairns..... We cannot fault our few days staying Cascade gardens, we were very happy with the staff, the cleanliness, the size of the apartment / room... which was much bigger than a normal hotel room , and the location in town was very nice, conveniently located to everything Cairns has to offer. Our only issue was the the rain so we will have to return to Cairns one day again and our first choice will definitely be Cascade Gardens. Thank you.

Big, clean and close to the esplanade.

We stayed in Cairns for 6 nights at Cascade Gardens. The room was very big, clean and comfortable. Our bathroom was a bit small and dated. It is about 2 blocks from the Esplanade where there are lots of shops and restaurants; maybe 4-5 blocks from the shopping centre. Immediately adjacent to the Gardens there is almost nothing. It's on a relatively quiet back street close to a small church and across from a school. A very quiet neighbourhood with very little to offer. The pool was very small and almost entirely shaded by trees.

Spacious one-bedroom apartment

Lots of room in the apartment and it had it's own washer and dryer in the unit. If you have problems with stairs, request a ground floor unit as there are no elevators. The self-catering apartment was clean and well stocked with dishes, pots and pans and utensils. The outside pool area has a barbecue for the use of the guests.

No staff available 24 hours. No change of bedding or towels like hotels. Very old building and there were open spaces on the wooden floor. For a week stay we then have to buy soap. No other stuff available like shower lotions shampoo, cream . They asked to use the laundry with payment. Probably this place is for monthly stays not for holidays for tourists.

部屋によって差があると思いますが、滞在したワンベッドルームのお部屋の感想です。 カトラリー関係は全て人数分揃っていました。 油、しお、胡椒の基本的な調味料ありました。 洗濯洗剤もありました。物干しもありますので洗濯毎日していました。 リビングのエアコンの効きはイマイチですが、ベッドルームのエアコンは良く効きました。 シャワー水量十分です。 3人で1部屋にするとエクストラベッドをリビングに配置してくれていました。 プール小さいですが、子供が遊ぶには十分です。 BBQエリア使いました、設備十分です。冷蔵庫もあります。 ホテルにすいんでいる長毛の猫（ラグドール？）がいます。すごく人慣れしてて可愛く毎日撫ででいました。 ホテルのスタッフの方も非常にフレンドリーで気持ちよく対応してくれます。 全体の評価より私たちはかなりいい印象です。 また滞在したいです。 オーストラリアのホテル全般に言えますが、部屋の電気は全体的に暗いですがこれはどこも同じかと。 キッチンに換気扇がないのでほぼ窓開けて調理していました。

The property is a nice place to stay for those who don't want to spend a fortune on accommodation. You are looking at a three block walk to the heart of the Esplanade. The appartment was good, and allows you to cook (as food on Esplanade is very pricey). I would like to see a little portable stove in the kitchen to allow you to bake things. The only frustrating thing about my stay was the television. It would suddenly lose picture after 2 or 3 hours! The pool is nice and deep, and the garden offers shade and privacy.
