Property is very conveniently located on the beach and also in close proximity to several decent restaurants and a beach bar. Hotel staff were quite friendly and accommodating. On the down side, the property is showing its age and in our room the bathroom, shower, etc are very small. In particular, the bathroom and shower were so small that a physically large person would have a hard time of it. The property consists of 2 separate buildings. We stayed in the original building. Can't speak for the rooms in the second building were the office is now located.

Checkin was quick and easy. Had ground floor room at front of property, was able to park right at door. There was also a small table to sit at outside door. Upon entering room noticed how clean room was. Once settled was able to have dinner at the small table. Only problem with this room was some traffic noise and people above us making noise, sounded like dragging furniture and dropped objects until 1 am. If you are a light sleeper this room is not for you. Overall I would rate it a 4.5

Great location and affordable, however the staff is not doing its job. Room was very dirty. Floor felt greasy and there were spots you can tell the cleaning staff never checks. Double checks at check in !

decent hotel close to beach

friendly staff, convenient location. Could use a paint job in the room & a scrub of the shower floor, would make a big difference. Also change the corridor carpet, would make for a much more positive feeling walking into room. These couple of small touch ups would make a world of difference to the rating & feeling of the hotel.

smallest room ever stayed in

this would be great if rooms were big enough to put atleast one chair in it, air conditioner was noisey, shower water pressure was low, no ice machine. Good part close to beach, rooms were clean, breakfast and lunch place across the street, 7-11 one block, trolley went by ever 15 -20 min. .75 cents to ride

Unlikely to return.

This hotel was poor value for money given that the rate was hiked 50% for the Labor Day weekend.The room had not been cleaned properly,there were holes in the bedding, a light in the bathroom did not work whilst the towels were gray and old. A disappointing experience .

Was nice clean large room...enjoyed the stay - close to the beach a bit far from the strip- a lot of traffic to get to the strip took us 45 minutes- that said- it is a nice out of the way location close to Bonita Springs which is the other way- priced right-

We need a place for one night in order to extend our vacation and the Flamingo Inn was able to accommodate us. The room was clean but very small - just the bedroom and washroom but it was clean and adequate for the night. The room had its own balcony with chairs. The hotel accommodated our early check-in request.

Great place!

We enjoyed our six day stay. It is close to the beach, they have chairs and umbrellas to borrow. Staff is helpful and friendly. Bed was comfy and all basic kitchen needs were there. It was quiet, no teenagers partying in our hotel even though it was March break. Our only complaint was that the air conditioner was a little noisy, but at night we used overhead fan and it was fine. It is close to Grocery store and convenience store. Great relaxing holiday!

Pleasently Surprised

Pleasently surprised with this hotel. While it does not look like much from the pictures, we found the rooms very pleasent and extremely clean. The manager/owner of the hotel was very friendly and eager to show the improvements that he is making. All rooms are getting a face lift and the owner is expanding what he has. There are many places in Ft Myers beach that are pretty "scetchy", this is deffinately NOT one of them.We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Quiet, friendly and close to the beach

Flamingo Inn is a nice hotel with very friendly staff. If you are looking for a lot of entertainment, this hotel is in the more quiet part of Fort Myers Beach so this may not be the place for you. However, it is well located on the Island as it is away from the always busy bridge area. The Inn offers umbrella, beach towels, chairs and floating devices that you can take with you for a day or a few hours at no extra cost. Beautiful beaches are a short 2 minute walk for the hotel and there are no street to cross... It is also well located to go toward Naples and the Everglades.

Flamingo Hotel-Great Stay

We had a wonderful stay at your hotel. The staff went above and beyond. We felt like we were at home. It was comfortable and close to everything. Thank You for making our stay so enjoyable. We will be back!!

Disappointed

We were practically sitting on the edge of the busiest street and it was noisy. The room was the size of a shoe box and extremely hot. Small mini blinds on windows didn't make it very private. There was a dog below us that barked occasionally and the mini fridge ran throughout the night. For the cost of a one night stay there you could have a luxury room elsewhere. Not a comfortable sleep.
