Hôtel convenable, près de tout, la plage, restos, bars, transport colectivo. Personnel gentil serviable. Chambres assez grandes, propres ; lits confortables. Loin de la cohue et du bruit de la quinta. Cependant chambre 208 pas d’Internet, manque d’eau chaude par moments, sombre. Les chambres à l’avant ont balcon mais c’est bruyant vu les travaux constants. Mais j’y retournerai quand même.

Comfortable, safe, and professional staff. You have a large fridge, 2 electric stove burners with a ventilation hood. The rooftop terrace has great views, and a pool to cool off. Thank you Grand Fifty for an utterly relaxing week of vacation. This goes for every accomodation in Playa, keep all dry food fruits, basically anything ALl food in the fridge. If you finish your coffee, properly rinse the cup and cover. Leave no food crumbs around and sweep after yourselves. Failure to do so will invite insects. Again this is for all kitchen accomodations. The fridge is your best roomate to have around lol.

Grand Fifty, Playa del Carmen

Lovely kitchenette suite here ... except for extreme shortage of drinking glasses and bowls for breakfast. They did supply more, but acted like wanting a second bowl and more than just two coffee mugs was an unusual request. The room itself and bed were just fine, though, and the rooftop pool was terrific. A block away was a lengthy pedestrian mall that seemed to stretch forever and was great to walk, full of shops and restaurants, and to beaches if you wanted.

The property was really good. A step away from 5th avenue and a 10 minute walk to the beach. The building is new, the rooms are nice. The rooftop pool isn’t big but it’s adequate for the size of the building. The service was really good! The only draw back was the room had minimal ustensiles. No knives to cut, only has one glass. Overall we liked the properly and we would recommend it for the price.

Rooms are renovated very new and clean. Although no view through the windows but rooftop and pool with amazing views. Staffs are so helpful especially the front desk staff David & Stephanie. David made great recommendations about local restaurants such as El Fon, we tried and it was amazing! There is one thing I need to mention here is about the hot water in the shower. We had no problem getting hot water during the showering time, but I saw quite a few reviews mentioning the issues. I think it could be the reason that no sign on the faucet to indicate which way to turn to get warm water vs cold water. In Canada the default is turning knob left to get hot and right side to get cold. But in this hotel room I realised that it was totalled opposite - you had to turn to right size(clockwise) to get warm water but turning left(anti-clockwise) to get cold water. Maybe hotel can improve this kind of confusion by labelling the faucet property, just an recommendation. Overall a great stay, this hotel is located at the end of fifth ave, very convenient when you finish shopping on 5th avenue back to a quiet place to rest.

Lovely, cozy rooms with everything you need for a long stay. Close to the 7/11 up on 5th for necessities/water and also Chedraui grocery store only 11 minute walk on 10th. Quiet area of Playa away from all the bar noise and crowds. Rooftop pool area is beautiful and relaxing. Towels are provided for pool. We did not have any problems with wifi, we even used our fire stick which worked perfectly. Area around property is not beautiful due to construction but they don’t start til later in the morning. We were never awoken by construction noise. Very nice staff at this hotel and no one bothers you. We had do not disturb on our door and we were left alone. Excellent experience all around. We have been to Playa over a dozen times. Stayed at all inclusives and apartment hotels, this hotel and area was our favourite. No set schedules like resorts, cooked our own meals, slept excellent and were not harassed every two minutes by vendors.

Good location, near to restaurants, convenience stores and beaches. Hotel has private parking and pool. Nice view to the sea from the terrace. Excellent service from Guillermo, Luis and Rafael. Room was cleaned. To improve: coffee. I would add a coffee vending machine for all guest in the lobby. This way we can prepare it ourselves, and have it hot and fresh. Gracias. Property management were very strict didnt allow my son to enter room for visiting suppost to visit only in Lobby.... Consttuction all around property and neighbourhood around doesnt look safe as a lot of homeless people around neighbourhood.

For starters, we booked on Expedia and didn’t get the room we paid for. The hotel passed the buck to Expedia who didn’t help us. Buyer beware Grand 50 has a no cancellation fee, you will lose all your money.They gave us a room below the generator which cuts in all night and is extremely loud, we had to sleep with earplugs and basically had terrible sleeps. Any rooms on the back side of the hotel you will listen to this noise all day and all night. They decided it was a good idea to sand the wood around the pool therefore 3 days with no use of the pool. I awoke with several bites which were consistent with bed bug bites. We travel consistently for 6 months during the winter, by far the worst experience we have had. Wish I could add photos etc as I taped the noise so other potential customers could hear it. If you like your sleep and value your money this is not the place for you.

Hotel 50 suites is a very lovely, from the hotel lobby to the roof top. Close to a great beach. Right off 5th Ave. I especially appreciate the tea & coffee station in the fabulous Lobby. Thank you to Luis who went above and beyond to make my room changes bearable. This hotel is Easily my top pick for good value and convenience.

Overall a great place to stay just off of fifth Avenue, the room was clean and relatively quiet. There was a considerable amount of construction across the street during the day but wasn’t very noticeable for the most part. I really liked having a kitchenette just a short walk to the grocery store and theOcean view pool on the rooftop was nice as well
