Loved the property, the room, location. Had trouble with the stove, and could not reach the owner. Luckily the housekeeper was very helpful. Highly recommend.

bien situé avec une belle vue sur la mer. Une micro maison confortable mais si vous prévoyez cuisiner des repas, c'est petit et minimal. Parfait pour petit-dejeuner, micro-onde, grille pain et cafetière avec café disponible et tisane. Le check in a été un peu difficile, nous n'avons pas reçu le courriel tel que prévu pour le self-cheking, heureusement hotel.com a contacté l'hôte et nous avons eu l'information juste à temps pour pouvoir avoir accès à l'hébergement.

The location and scenic views are outstanding. The room is fairly well laid out and the bed is very comfortable. Cons: the standard units are quite small: there is no room to put your luggage. Also, the driveway up to the cottage is full of potholes-they could be filled with gravel. Lots of potholes on the driveway to the cottage: they could be filled with gravel.

Host was very rude and incapable to manage a cottage business. We arrived in storm so with understanding of the bad weather condition, we expected no more than basic requirements of accommodation. Cottage has no sign for parking and we almost drove down the hill. Doorway to the cottage was all covered and blocked by snow. The guy didn’t clear the way after we told him the room number. Also no shovels were provided. Two of us cleared way ourselves with the tiny windshield scraper in the car and used the windshield scraper from the room trying to move some snow on the way for our mother, but the guys found us and yelling “that should stay in the room!” THEN WHY THE F DIDNT YOU PROVIDE A SHOVEL OR CLEAR THE PATH YOURSELF FOR UR CUSTOMERS?! The next morning, snow on way out was like half-person-high so we called the cottage to clear the way. A lady said they would come and clear, but no one showed up ever since. Main roads were cleared by larger tractors shown on road.is but the way out from this cottage to the main road was blocked so we called the cottage again to remove the snow on their property. The same lady picked up again and yelling "I'm not your slave!" The place even has no enough hot water for shower for two in the same cottage. That was terrible in a storm night. The cottage should close down during non-summer season. This was an absolutely awful experience. The host wants to make money but should learn what service and attitude they should offer first.

I could not understand why we were the only cabin being used. When I'm travelling, this is exactly the type of stay I look for. Peaceful, private and a little off the beaten track. I could sit all day looking at the view and never have a care in the world. Definitely will be coming back and staying longer. A great base for exploring the amazing Snaefellsness Peninsula. The owners are wonderful and answered questions very quickly. Had a nice wee visit with them as well after we checked in. Thanks Anna and Sebastian! See you again.

The panoramic view from this cottage was breathtaking. The property sits on the ridge of a fjord and looks out onto the ocean and back towards Grundarfjordur and Kirkjufell mountain. The cottage was compact yet felt spacious, with everything we needed. There is no restaurant on site, and breakfast is not included, but we ate in town which is less than 10 minutes drive. There is a kitchenette for those that wish to prepare a meal. The beds and furniture were very comfortable. The rooms were very clean. We received an email regarding check-in, making the process simple and straightforward, which was greatly appreciated.

I liked the spectacular location and the modern design of the units. The units were lacking closets, television, sufficient towels and most importantly there was no on-site manager or someone to contact in the event of an issue.

The room is very clean, and the location is great for northern light hunting. I can enjoy my meals accompanying by magnificent view right through the glass door. The room is heated by air-conditioner, and it's a little bit weaker compared to other places I stayed during my trip. it maybe due to the abnormal coldness the day I stayed there. But my husband and I took many very great photos of aurora right behind our cottage, I rated it 5 star just for the wonderful experience, will definitely stay here if I visit Iceland again.

Wonderful! Beautiful views over the bay and Mt Kirkjufell. Christina couldn’t be nicer. There was some confusion over my booking, but she called and texted me a week before while I was still in Canada and all was sorted out. Great location for exploring Snaefellsness. The cabin has everything you could possibly need. If I ever return to Iceland I will definitely stay here a couple more nights!

We had a great stay at Dis Cottages. Floor to ceiling windows which allowed for a lot of natural light, and the view was amazing. As other travellers have mentioned, we could have used some extra hooks and shelvings. The water in the shower does flood the washroom a bit, but a floor squeegee was provided.

The views from the cottage were unbelievable. Might be my most favorite spot in all of Iceland to be honest! We were lucky enough to have a clear sunny day with an absolutely stunning sunset. Mountain ocean and grassland views with subtle city lights )in the distance). As an avid traveler, I never want to revisit places I’ve already been, however I will be thinking about my next trip to Iceland just to stay here again… absolutely amazing!

This cottage is located in a beautiful spot of the Snæfellsnes peninsula, right on the beach looking over the Bjerdha Fjord. It is close to Grundarfjörður town, which has grocery stores and restaurants, but at the same time it is isolated enough that we could see an amazing Northern lights spectacle late at night! The glass walls on 2 sides of the cabin allow even to observe the lights from inside (there are all blocking blinds/curtains when you want privacy, no worries!). The bathroom could use a bit more shelving space, and the kitchenette is really small, with a very tiny fridge. But the view of the sunset on the shore, the amazing starry sky at night (in September) and the sheer quietness of this place made up amply for these little shortcomings. Highly recommended!
