A simple but clean hotel close to restaurants and a 10 minute walk to the beach. Rooms are a bit dated but overall a good budget hotel in a convenient location for touring the Algarves.

Great value.

Good location. Not on the beach, but it’s only a 10 minute walk. Hotel does have an inside and outside pool, both of which are nice. Lots of restaurants around. Parking is extremely limited. The hotel claims they offer free parking, which means you get to find a spot on a street, if you can. Could be problematic in the busy season. Wi-fi is only available in the bar and is very, very, very slow. All things being considered it was still great value.

The apartment was spacious and well equipped. The area was great, close to a grocery store, bus stop, and several good restaurants. The staff was phenomenal. The only suggestion I would have would be that the hotel provide pool towels, at least for the indoor pool. They do sell lovely towels but they would be difficult to pack to bring home. Most people do not have that kind of luggage space. Other than that, it is a wonder apartment hotel.

Nice aparthotel in a very convenient location

We stayed at the Oceanus Aparthotel for 3 weeks on our first trip to the Algarve. It was a good choice considering we knew little about the area and wanted a "home base" from which to explore and research the area around Albufeira for subsequent trips. The location is excellent - very handy to everything you need and want including restaurants, grocery stores, shops (including pharmacy) and of course the beach. The hotel itself was very good. The staff were pleasant and helpful, the room was clean and maintained to a very good standard, and reasonably well outfitted. On the negative side, it was at times noisy as the construction evidently involved very little in the way of sound-proofing between units. The kitchen was difficult to prepare meals in as it did not have an oven, only had a two-burner stove top, and low-quality pans that did not heat evenly. Finally the furniture is not very comfortable for relaxing on after a day of walking the beach or exploring the town, and the beds were a bit hard for our taste. Overall though the hotel offered good value and was located in an ideal location.

Excellent location

Excellent location. Friendly and helpful staff. Close to excellent restaurants and supermarkets. Couch and dining room chairs could be a little more comfortable. Could hear the people upstairs when moving their chairs and walking in hard soled shoes as the floors are tile.

Clean place with excellent service.

This hotel was perfect for the three of us. It was "clean and cleaned" all the time even though it was not classy. It was close to the grocery stores and the beautiful beach. The location was handy to take off with the car for sightseeing in Portugal and Spain. The staff was helpful at all times. It was handy to be on the main floor. The bar at night was a great way to meet people from other places. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone who likes to cook their own meals even though there were many restaurants in the area.

Pleasant room facing courtyard, sunny side; suitable amenities, excellent housekeeping service, staff at reception very pleasant and helpful; short walk to the beach. Grocery stores, bakery, fresh fruit stands and many excellent restaurants nearby with reasonable prices. Beds were quite hard, understand mattresses gradually being replaced. Used the foam topper from the sofa bed and slept well. Asked for anti slip mat in the shower and had it in place within the hour This place was recommended by friend and would not hesitate to recommend it to others. Lobby computer needs to be updated, I.e., need to add software and leave CD drive accessible to allow moving photos to flash drive or burn to disc.
