We like the location, quiet, away from city noise. Rooms very clean. Most pleasant staff. On the downside there were several issues with the room which necessitated a move to another room. This done without having to ask. The second room … excellent.

Great potential

The hotel has great potential to be a real lovely place to stay. The hotel staff were welcoming and the room was a great size (studio style) with nice decor (a clean modern style) with a cute little kitchenette space that even has a mini dishwasher. So happy to have a washing machine and a dryer right in our suite. And the bed...sooo comfortable! Where this hotel fell short for us was in the room assignment and real limited wifi access. We wanted to be harbour side to have a cute view of the harbour situated right across the street, but found ourselves on the first floor that only had us looking into the backside of another building which was more of a servicing/loading area. So make sure you get a room that would be high enough to clear the building infront. The major disappointment for us was the limited wifi. You are only allotted a 30 min allowance for a 24hr period per room and then you have to pay for any additional use (which was $5/30 min). This simply was not enough for us to update our family on our safe arrival and do any necessary research about our next leg of our travel and with having spent enough already on the room, we were not willing to pay extra for more wifi. So while we enjoyed the room, we would not return for this fact.

Close and Quiet

Fabulous modern apartment-style studio, with beautiful harbour views. Close to everything, but tucked away at the quiet end of Palmer Street.

Highly recommand to anyone!!!

Oaks M on Palmer was a great place to relax after 30-some hours of flight from Canada. It was very clean, tidy room with everything we needed, including kichenette, laundry machine, A/C etc. It was all self-contained and very quiet too. Elevator was secured with card entry - felt very safe too. Staff were very friendly and I had very good time during my stay.

Very new and clean

We only stayed one night but everything was exceptionally new and clean. Our studio had a large TV, washer and dryer which was awesome. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to the center of Townsville.It was excellent value - probably the best we have encountered in a month in Australia. We highly recommend it!

A bit disappointing after my last stay. Both the tv and the dishwasher didn’t work in this room. As I was only in for the night there was no point complaining. A lot of the fittings are getting dated in this hotel.

The room was as it usually is and the service polite and efficient. I used the washing machine on the last night to wash my clothes. Unfortunately the machine leaked all through the room. I was given the room next door for my final night. Unfortunate and disappointing.
