No in room Wi-fi & no air conditioning either. We had to sleep on the balcony because the room got so hot & humid, we were sweating trying to sleep. If you’re staying during summer, avoid at all costs.

The location and gardens are amazing. The staff are wonderful. Great brunch! The rooms were very clean. Towels are very old, thin and small. It was incredibly noisy. You can hear every movement through the walls and ceilings and the housekeepers shouting in the hallways at about 8:30 am. There are many large groups that stay and they are up late at night, up to 2 am sometimes, drinking and talking very loudly.

Reasonably price, very clean... will go back!

Location is prime. .lots to do within walking distace. Parking available and thw room was amazing as all the staff. ....4 minutes from downtown Funchal.

My last stay at DOM PEDRO GARAJAU :(

The Hotel is not secure, the rooms are outdated, the staff are not friendly at all or accommodating. Very old hotel can hear noise from other rooms / guests and in the hallways.

There are a few things I liked a lot and a few things I didn’t. Pros-Very walkable,Lots of cafes, restaurants and grocery near by,Indoor pool,View from the balcony, the rooms were very clean,in room microwave and hot plate and I got a pleasant surprise of cake and champagne on my birthday. Con’s- No AC thankfully I visited in the winter,the beds and pillows were extremely uncomfortable, No wifi in rooms only in common areas,Walls are paper thin, no elevator no kettle for tea or coffee in rooms With that being said this is a perfect pick if you’re not going to sow and much time indoors. It’s a little dated but it worked for our shot stat

Tijdens ons verblijf werd er gewerkt door een sloopbedrijf op de binnenplaats. 4dagen lang geen siësta. Accommodatie was heel lawaaierig een deur tussen de buren en ons. Alles wat schoof in gebouw hoorde je. Heel lawaaierige omgeving. Kortom teleurstellend.

The room we had was old . The mattress with springs inside , too hard . The staff all wonderful , kind . You definitely need a car to move around . The price for parking, unbelievable cheap.
