Family stay in two sea view rooms.

The staff were friendly and offered advice. They even went to get gluten free bread for the breakfast bar. The rooms were clean, well stocked, and spacious. The sea view rooms had an ample terrace and great views.

The view was spectacular. The property was tired and needed work - - tiles were lifting on the balcony. Chipped paint on walls. Bed was comfortable though.

Nice hotel across the beach. Many buses access.

Nice apt. Suite with nice kitchen equiped. Nice big bath. Recently renovated. Internet is very slow. We enjoy our stay at the Apart hotel Adagio on La Promenade des Anglais.

Basic and simple

Very basic hotel but with spacious rooms. A 3.5 km walk to City Center but its a lovely walk along the beach boardwalk. Lots of construction in back street of hotel. Parking was expenive and a long walk from hotel.

Old, musty and undergoing renos

Although the hotel staff were super helpful, they couldn't make up for the renos underway, as well as our burnt out lights in our room (albeit, fixed when I reported), and my ripped bed sheet. We overlooked construction as well. Being across from the beach was handy, but beware, the waves are rough and the rocky shore ripped my knees up. I would definitely pay more to stay in a nicer place closer to Rue Jean Medicin.

Disappointing

Alternating broken elevators created bottle necks that were problematic for two of our guests when forced to use the stairs. I suspect the elevators were not so much broken as shut down to save power as we moved to anothe Adagio hotel next and one elevator of two is currently down. The buffet breakfast is advertised everywhere by beware... It is NOT included and costs $12 euro. Wifi coverage was weak at best. Apple users will suffer most. For four guests we were given two keys which forced us to coordinate who was where more then should have been required. It's understandable to a point with old hotels that still use keys but these were key cards! It took a manager to get one extra card and the same day one of our cards stopped working putting us back down to two functional key cards.

Excellent hotel located on Promenade des Anglais

Everything in this hotel was excellent: The spacey room with fully equipped kitchenette and a lot of storage room, the bathroom with a full bath and shower, the location on one of the most famous streets in the world, the bedding, the big window (can be with a view of the city or of the sea, the latter is more expensive). It is not very central, but there are lots of buses next to the building. There is a back door that leads to another street (rue de Californie), where there are also several buses that take you anywhere you need. My husband and I often walked to downtown area or to the Old City from the hotel. It takes about 40 minutes. The price is affordable. The staff at the reception is friendly and welcoming. However, the lady who was there at the time of our check-in and check-out was the least friendly of all. Both times, she talked to us in a patronizing tone, as if she was doing us a great favour, never smiled and in general represents the type of "welcome" and attitude anybody would try to avoid. I noted her name: Lavinia. Just a small spot on the otherwise excellent facility.

Surprisingly Wonderful

We were a family of five persons. The hotel room/apartment was exactly what we were looking for. With three teenagers, the beach was of utmost importance (which was directly across the street). The apartment style living was fabulous as we could have breakfast and lunch if needed. We were never on top of one another as there was plenty of room in the apartment/hotel. Dinners we went out. The Adagio was closer to the airport than the center of town or the old town, however, we used the bus system to our advantage. Staff were very helpful in giving us the bus numbers to take. The promenade des Anglais (directly across the street too) was a treat for evening relaxing strolls. The majority of the hotel staff was pleasant and did speak English to us trying to answer our every question (however we encountered one young lady our last evening that was not pleasant at all and did not appear to want to help in any way). Oh well, one should expect one bad apple in the bunch. Otherwise, this apartment style hotel was clean and perfect for our family.

Decent hotel with wonderful view

Overall, a decent hotel in a good location. It was about a 20 minute walk down the Promendade des Anglais to all of the shops/restaurants and Vieux Nice but we didn't want to be in the centre. There is a beach just in front of the hotel. The view from the seaview balcony was spectacular. We had a one bedroom apartment with a "queen size" sofa bed in the living room, which was great because I was tracvelling with a friend. Unfortunately, the pull-out bed created two side by side horizontal single beds and not one big bed - this was somewhat disappointing. Also, there is quite a bit of traffic noise non-stop on the Promenade so if you're a light sleeper you will likely want to take earplugs. Last but not least, we had taxi issues. We did catch a taxi in front of the train station when we arrived but the driver added 10 euros to the fare for our two suitcases so it cost us 21 euros to get to the hotelo. When we checked out, the front desk person had to call a taxi for us (you never see them driving around looking for fares). We explained to her our discontent with the fare surcharge when we arrived and she simply said that they are all private companies so there's nothing that can be done. However, instead of calling a taxi for us, it turns out she called a private car service that charged us 30 euros for the same 10-minute cab ride! BEWARE - ensure you tell the front desk staff you only want a taxi with a metre and not a private car service!

Nice if you want beach time!

Nice hotel right by the water. The breakfast buffet is okay - not worth the 11euros/person but it is convenient to eat in the hotel. This hotel is not close to central Nice so it is a good place if you want just beach time. If you want to explore more of Nice, I would stay somewhere more central.

Quality Suites Nice

Lots of room for a family of 4. Close to beach. We had a room that over looked the Mediterranean that was lovely. We were on the 4th floor and could hear the street down below. Hotel is not close to many restaurants but with a 15-20 minute walk of lots. Travel tip: if you take the local bus for 1 euro you can transfer to the 100 bus and it will take you all the way to Monaco or Canne. Excellent bargain. Very comfortable city buses.

Will Recommend to Friends

This hotel is right on the waterfront street in Nice. It is situated right between the Airport & Port for Cruising. The room was very clean & is more like a condo unit rather than a hotel room. Seperate bedroom with a kitchenette, eating area & living room. Only one TV in the bedroom. It would had been nice to have a second TV in the living room. There's a balcony overlooking the beach & the sea, absolutely wonderful. Take the bus when you can, very inexpensive. Taxi's are quite expensive.
