We recently returned from a family holiday to Sydney and loved staying in the Darling Harbour area. This property had easy and ready access over the water and we loved the size of the unit (2 bedroom) for our family of five. The kitchen had all of the amenities we needed for some meals in and we loved having access to in suite laundry as well. Highly recommend.

Quick visit to Sydney so only stayed one night.The staff was very nice. The building is a converted warehouse so kind of cool but the rooms are average and need some renovations (cracked tiles in the bathroom, and horrible old carpets in bedroom and living room). The bed was comfortable and clean. The hot tub was not hot, the sauna ok, and gym was limited but functional. Transportation available all around too. It was worth the discounted price I paid and I would stay here again to save on downtown rates.

Needed more towels etc in kitchen. As a hotel guest i usually dont pack dish cloths / towels etc. . Overall the stay was fine. Only a small but good coffee and sandwich place on site . As it says in the title they are apartments and looks like some people live there so maybe thats why no on site restaurant. Close enough to waterfront mall to get what you need.

Room was good... the couch had stains all over it so I had a hard time sitting on it knowing I was sitting on a dirty couch. The pool was nice but the hot tub was luke warm. Overall good place to stay in a good location.

Enjoyable stay at Oaks Goldsbrough!

I chose to stay at Oaks Goldsbrough in Darling Harbour as I wanted sufficient space while in Sydney for 10 days. Yes, it is a bit dated but it is clean, comfortable and convenient. I had a beautiful view of the harbour and was able to watch the Saturday night fireworks right from my room! The staff was very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for comfort and convenience, I do recommend this hotel. It is easy to get to and Subway stations/buses and attractions are all within a close walking distance

3 staffs at the reception and we sat til 2pm nobody asking us or bothered to check for us if there’s any room available. We arrived 7:30am from our cruise and we understand that we were very early. We were told to check by noon to see if any rooms are available. Stored our luggages. Went back at 1 pm still no room and asked to sit at the lobby but assured that we are guaranteed a room for 2pm. It’s 2 pm and finally approached the gentleman told him we had been waiting since 7:30am. He was surprised that nobody did any paperwork and take our payments. He was apologizing and wondered why no one can’t find us a room. It was a nice city view. Find it musty that I turned on the air conditioning. Toilet bowl and tub was dirty. I cleaned the toilet and filled the tub with water sprinkled detergent to remove to dirt film. I was tired and no time to complain. Glad we stayed only for 4 nights. This place is dark and stuffy. We just can’t wait to get out. It’s not worth the money staying here.

Excellent location. The first room we got was very dark, as are most of the rooms on that side (because of the parking garage very close to the hotel). We then moved to a much nicer room, renovated and clean and we enjoyed the rest of our stay.

Very disappointing, I know the pics are always better than the actual room, however our room was no where close to the pics used in the advisements. Is was extremely dreary and poorly appointed. There was instant coffee, but no decaf, the lighting was insufficient and stark, there were a few oddly placed prints and the bathroom was drab and depressing, had no hand towel, and the toilet stunk when u opened the seat lid. The pullout couch was is such a worn state that my daughter, who weighs all of 101 pounds slept with her head at the bottom end as the “ pillow end” slopped downwards so much. In order to provide some cushioning we put the seat cushions under the sheets. To add insult to injury, they charge a nightly fee for using the pullout couch. The location was better once we discovered that we could walk through the parkade to get to Darling Harbour. It would have been great to be told about this when we checked in or to have found it in the in room hotel information book. I loved the history and architectural heritage features of the building, but surely thay could have done much better than slap a see through coat of white paint on the walls & put ugly metal railings in the hallways & cage like walls around the indoor patios. There were black garbage bags taped to these railings beside every unit door, as well as unrepaired damage to the wall around the bedroom window beside the unit doors. The concierge was friendly and helpful, the front desk staff were not.

Our 12th floor 1 bedroom city view apartment was very suitable for our 7 might stay in Sydney. The kitchen was well appointed. The washer dryer came in handy. The Oaks is conveniently located to Darling Harbour. The property is part residential part commercial part hotel. There is an indoor lap pool and small gym. The front desk staff are extremely efficient and professional.

The location of the building is within a 5 minute walk to Darling Bridge. The Apartments themselves take a bit of getting used to as it is an open plan meaning that from the moment you get off the elevator it has a feeling of some kind of barracks. The room I rented was next door to someone who was living there (as a number of people are) and had a dog.

Rented an apartment for myself and my two children but not told that the room was on two floors with a narrow and extremely long staircase to the rooms below. For someone with mobility issues the room was virtually unusable. The beds crammed into one room so that the doors wouldn’t shut and rickety windows rattled so loudly in windstorm that sleep was impossible. To be avoided.
