Edgy Apartments by the river

Very central apartment, right by the Fitzroy river and close to the centre of Rockhampton. Generous size for a 1 bedroom apartment, very private and sound proofed. Did not hear another guest the entire time. Tru Fusion Indian Bar and Grill downstairs has AMAZING food, thoroughly recommend.

Definitely NOT worth it

From the look of the outside and reception you'd think this place was super modern; but it's not. It's clean(ish) but very ordinary and not worth the $185 per night to stay here. We booked our room on Expedia and were given what I'm sure was the WORST room they had. It was small, smelled like stale water (or smoking?), window opened onto a dead stop (no fly screens or balcony) and right above a restaurant/nightclub that pumped music until late in the night. We complained about the room smell etc and were moved to the same room but 2 floors higher up; not much of an improvement but we were tired by then and put ear plugs in to drain out the music. (I realise that the music isnt always within the control of the hotel, but they never acknowledged it, or offered any recompense). The pool was super small and enclosed, so no sun AND I got a chocolate from the vending machine on level 1 which was off. All in all a terrible experience and WAY overpriced considering you can stay down the road at The Empire (which is way nicer) for the same price.
