Very handy, and walkable to where we wanted to be. Street is a bit busy at times due to the university but we were still able to find free parking within a short distance. Some nice restaurants just a short distance away that the staff directed us to.

Nice For Dorm Rooms

The listing here doesn't mention that these are essentially student dorms. Nothing wrong with that at all and these are really well priced and quite nice dorms at that. Given these house students, you can see some hard miles on the property but maintenance is kept up. It's a very good budget stay and reasonably close to some restaurants and shopping. It's not terribly close to the main beach (~8 minutes by bike, ~25-30 minutes walk). I wouldn't rule it out for future stays.

Excellent location, staff were extremely helpful. While we did not dine on site, my travel group did have a few drinks in the bar. Easy to find parking in the area, and neighborhood felt safe.

Modest property. The basic are there. Seems to be originally intended for sudent housing as university across the street. On a water channel but a long walk to beach. Good for budget ttraveller. Very complicated to drive to due to town road layout. As with most of town primarily french spoken.

Kitchenette as well as laundry facilities made it perfect for us. Beds are comfortable, rooms cleaned daily and fantastic water pressure in the shower. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Large, clean room overlooking the water.

This hotel had a nice, continental breakfast for a fee. It was equipped with laundry facilities and a little stove top in each room. It was the only hotel in all of Europe that we encountered, to have a bathtub, which we took full advantage of. My only complaint is that there are very few services available in Dunkerque after 2100 - the town virtually closes down and no food or coffee, etc can be found. The hotel didn't offer anything in the way of after hours food or even coffee, sadly.

Good location, but our room was very disappointing. Shower was broken and bed was like cement. There was no real places to eat within walking distance. The view was enjoyable. The staff were pleasant.

They Lost My Pre-Paid Booking

This was a great hotel in terms of the rooms and friendly service, but apparently it comes at a cost. They claimed not to have my booking on record, despite the fact I had paid for it already and I confirmed with Visa that the charge went through. I had no choice but to pay again and was not impressed with this incompetence. I would really like that money back, otherwise I have no choice but to leave a bad review and avoid this hotel for future visits.

Quiet and small comfortable stay

Overall a good stay. I would recommend this place to friends and family. The set up of reception is a bit odd. Also, there are a few separate buildings that make up the hotel & we stayed in the other building. Walking between them sucked because it was raining for our stay. But I wouldn't let this detract you. It's close enough to downtown, a few restaurants are quite close, and there's a shopping center quite nearby so you can grab food supplies. Unfortunately there wasn't any dish soap in the kitchen area. I wonder if it's because this place is often used for longer term stays and/or students. It may get costly to supply that or everyone. We had a seaside view and it was quiet. The bed was comfy and the blackout shades helped with a nice sleep. Bring your own conditioner if you use it. The size if the studio was a little tight with 2 people moving about, but again its doable.

Nothing special nearby, but very comfortable

Very nice, new, clean, spacious. Staff were accommodating. Not much within walking distance, but the hotel itself is right on the shoreline (not beach - it's a shipping area or something). The kitchenette was well stocked, EXCEPT there were no cleaning supplies. No rag, soap, scrubber, towel, etc. You had to buy those from the front desk, or supply your own. It wasn't much (2 euro I think) but it was still a surprise. We were very comfortable here.
