Resort Fee and Unexpected Parking Fee

The Resort fee is not worth the amount they charge. You are entitle to 3 chairs, old beach towels and an umbrella. The Condo was O,K it is an old building that has been refurbished. The unit had a lot of humidity and the floors were most of the time wet, I do not know if there was a pipe damage? Finally, at the check out time there was an unexpected added Parking fee (self park) plus Taxes a DAY So, instead of paying resort fee only (I new about it) I paid an extra MORE for the self-parking. All those extra charges are not worth. I know, they are a way for the Hotel to make more money. I do not recommend to use it, there are probably condos in better/newer buildings in the area WITH NO resort fee and Parking fee. St. Pete Beach is awesome.

I would have liked a coffee maker that worked every day. I was able to make coffee 2 of the 4 days we were there. The sofa bed was great to have but we could not get a blanket. One of the workmen lent his to my son so he would have a cover. I would have like daily maid service. Twice at 4 pm, we still did not have a cleaned room and had to call because we knew at 5pm, cleaning staff were gone. I would have liked a printer in the lobby that worked so I could print my boarding pass. I would have liked to have value for my $36 resort fee and $24.00 parking feel. I felt like a hostage. These fees are obscene.

THe design of the suites was very comfortable. Very clean. View awesome from balcony. Resort fee not cheap but better to have access to extra amenities without being charged every time of use. Only negative was how few kitchen accessories we found. Lack of smaller plates, corkscrew opener, etc...

All the comforts of home right on the beach

At first we were disappointed because we thought we were staying at the Don Cesar. However when we settled in to the Beach House we were very happy with the size of our suite. It was over 650sq ft with 2 full bathrooms, king size bed, washer & dryer, full kitchen with large dining table and a living room with sofa bed. Our large balcony overlooked the pool and the Gulf of Mexico. A free shuttle took us to restaurants and tourist attractions. We are already planning our next stay at the beach house suites.

Great place to stay!

We absolutely LOVED this property. We have stayed in many places along St. Pete Beach and we really enjoyed our stay here. We loved having access to the amenities of the Don Cesar. We would take our morning walks down there to have breakfast and use the gym. I didn't like the small refrigerator that they put in the units. It didn't have a good size freezer and I didn't feel that the temperature of the fridge was cold enough for milks, yogurts, and cheeses. The other thing I didn't like about the beach suites was the lack of room for our clothes and suitcases. That was a pretty tight fit, but everything else good about the place outweighed our tight space on where to put our clothes. :-)

Beautiful condo to hang out on the beach.

Very relaxing. Loved the renovated condo. Needed to drive to activities. Not a lot to do at the location, given poor beach weather. Pool area needs the next upgrade. But, great value for the money.

Outdated hotel but spectacular view from the suite

The hotel is outdated with old furniture. The only benefits is the spectacular view from any room of the hotel, white sandy beach, and clean pool.

Lovely location

Hotel was lovely, but resort fee should be discounted for guests at this hotel as it is short on amenities compared to the affiliate, Don Cesar, which too far away (20 min wlk on the beach or drive to it)

A DON CESAR CHRISTMAS

We stayed at the Don Cesar Beach Suites over Christmas Holidays. \ It is a wonderful spot to stay as we were having a family reunion for Christmas. We rented three condos and they accomodated us by having us next door to each other which made an incredible difference as we had three children all under the age of 12. They could come to each condo on the same floor with no fear of getting lost. The staff were especially attentive. Daily we received toiletries,dish soap, and clean towels. Usually at these condo stays you get housekeeping every other day. The condos faced the gulf and every morning was a delight to have your morning coffee on the balcony. 5 minute walk down the beach is the majestic pink hotel that we also had access to as it belongs to the Don Cesar suites. They provide laundry machine and dryer which is a bonus when travelling with children. We prepared a beautiful Christmas Eve dinner for the entire family in our condo as they provide a full kitchen. We also decorated the condo with dollar store decorations as the grocery store and dollar store are just down the street. The Don Cesar suites will be one of our most memorable Family Christmas' THANK-YOU DON CESAR
