One word, RAT, we stayed here and woke up on our first morning to a RAT on the kitchen counter (and not a small one) this sucker was at least a foot in length-it flew across the counter towards my daughter and dived under our dishwasher. The service at that time was terrible- no one did anything for at least two to three hours until management arrived at 8/8:30…also no air conditioning- I was so stressed for my children as rats carry siseasss and worried the entire trip. They covered some of our grocery costs and a sands to come here with our family and to find a rat was truly stressful and disgusting I feel like more could’ve and should’ve been done to help us feel comfortable. meal at the restaurant, in all honesty we spent thou

Whale watching from balcony

Excellent stay for our family of five including one teenager. We enjoyed the beach, the pool, the restaurant, and the paddle board rental. Best part of our stay was the sunset views along with views of the whales!

We had 2 units, 1 group of 7 and a group of 6…the units were way bigger than we pictured & had all the amenities you could want! Would highly recommend for families and larger groups! Two bathrooms, laundry in the unit, dishwasher, coffee maker, fridge, blender, toaster, the list goes on

The property is located right on the beach….very good location. Front desk was very helpful and polite. I was given the ocean view suite. Highly recommend the place and will stay there again.

This is a gorgeous property and the grounds are immaculate. The condo units have recently been renovated and they are so impressive. We were a group of 14 people who stayed in a two and a three bedroom unit and all of us were so impressed with everything.

The beach is amazing! Don’t expect the room you booked as I requested ocean view and the told me I requested mountain view and I got a garbage can view! Could not sleep with all the noise that comes right into the room. There seemed to be an extra charge for everything and even when you did pay the front desk staff was rude!! I will not go back! For the amount of $$$ you spend it’s not worth it.

Good hotel but rude staff

We stayed 3 nights in the hotel. Staff at check-in time was very rude. We requested ocean view room on the higher floor but staff gave us 2nd floor room just above the parking gate with a side ocean view. Management should talk to staff and provide them Customer Service training. Otherwise our room was clean and comfortable.

Nice hotel. I really like the view of the mountain

This is a great place for family with kids. The pool is okay, the room is windy and cozy. Overall I liek teh place especially the vacation club where people can stay while waiting for flight. What I don't like is that my kids did not enjoy the beach as the current is too strong in that area.

My family just got back from our stay at Sands of kahana and we were pleasantly surprised. We found the room to be spacious and more than adaquate for our group of 6 as we brought my mother with us to help with our 3 younger kids.

Great family location

Resort is spacious and includes some nice amenities. My child really enjoyed the separate kid pool and my family had fun playing beach volleyball. The multiple and super clean BBQ pits where a good way to meet and socialize while cooking. We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit. Room was very large and well layed out for privacy. The only issue was the noise factor especially in the room on interior wall you could hear people coming and going at all hours . I had to buy ear plugs just to sleep . Overall very enjoyable family trip with lots of fun things to do at your finger tips

May need ear plugs!!

Our only complaint about this hotel it that its just too noisy. Sound travels freely from the hallway into your room and the shutters instead of windows makes for a very noisy stay. The garbage trucks smashing the bins at 0830 sounded like they were taking the building down and quite frequently woke our 9 month old. If you don't have small children and sleep heavy you may not mind.
