Rain came through the skylight into the living room. We called and no one is available to come and have a look. However, they do offer us an exchange of room which is too much of a hassle since we only spend two nights over there and is the second night. They could have put a light at the entrance to the resort as it get dark after 5.00.

Wow!

Absolutely wonderful place! Over 50 years of travelling and this is the nicest place we have stayed. Unit 40 was well decorated in the local décor and had a fantastic view of the creek and canyon from the expansive deck. Will recommend this place to all!

The villa we stayed in (19) was very clean, well maintained and overall we had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay. When we arrived, the fireplace had already been prepped with wood and kindling and we had a beautiful winter evening in front of the fireplace.

Great rustic resort!

The staff were friendly at check in, the unit was rustic and unique and very clean. The only downside for us was if you go to Sedona in March the traffic is bad and we were hoping to avoid traffic by eating at Junipine however their restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays so we had to go back into Sedona and sit in the traffic again.

Beautiful suites

We were not expecting as large a suite as we were given, so it was a nice surprise. Wood burning fireplace, full kitchen, king size beds, free DVD rentals and even a couple of free long distance calls. Staff was nice, and not far out of Sedona, so close to trails. Beautiful scenery, we stayed in Feb when it was cooler than usual, so if you go when it is hotter, the outside decks would be great to use. We were quite impressed overall. The price was very good, although not sure what high season would be. We would stay again, for sure.

Hotel staff were so nice and friendly, and our suite was excellent! I really loved the fireplace and large deck. It was equipped with everything we needed and more! It's a little north of the busy area of Sedona, so it felt secluded and very quiet - perfect for a relaxing vacation.

Junipine heaven

The unit we had was fabulous, the staff were prompt and courteous. It was so quiet while we were there and we weren't that far from the road. We will return here again, thanks J&J

Junipine Resort is overrated to me

Well, I was very disappointed with this place because it did not have any cell phone reception (I was told only Verizon works there) and the internet was not working either. I asked the girl at the reception why was it not disclosed or they should let customers know of these issues on their website, she said they did not have to as wifi was never mentioned there and it is up to them whether they provide it to the customers or not. It did not make any sense, it is like going to a hotel expecting that their will be toiletries and not having them because they did not say anything about it on the website or they reserve the right to provide it. The other issue, when we checked in there were patches of slippery ice on the entrance of the unit and the steps leading to the entrance so when we asked if someone can clear it up or salt it as it is risky and someone will fall and get injured, she said well they have already salted it for today and to wait until tomorrow. They finally sent someone to salt it after I forced the issue. Lastly, they do not have any daily housekeeping so you have to call them if you need anything. The only positives - it is a well maintained older style resort (no pool) and it is located in more natural surrounding (far from the main Sedona strip). In nutshell, for the price they charge per night it is not worth it especially because of the poor customer service and no cell and wifi available, I will not be staying here again.
