The condition of this 110-year-old hotel was amazing and quaint. Very well situated in the downtown core, eliminating the need for a car.

I really enjoyed staying here. Although it’s an older building with old fashion furniture, there was so much room. It was the first spacious place I stayed at. Bathroom was nice and having an in-suite laundry and dryer really did it for me. The are felt safe and is very walkable. You have everything from bars to restaurants to shopping to groceries. The only thing I would say is that if you’re into clubbing, you’re about 15min drive from the action so if that’s your thing, keep this in mind. Staff was very lovely and gave great suggestions. I would recommend this place. My only “complaint” would be that the iron board looked old and stained but to combat this, I just put a towel down and the ironed by clothes.

The young male receptionist was the highlight of our stay. He was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. He was an excellent ambassador for the Royal Albert.

Nice up-to-date boutique hotel close to Brisbane s

A boutique style hotel well decorated and up to date, central to Brisbane sites. However for the two days we stayed the shower hot water was Luke warm at best. Staff assured us it would be remedied but it wasn't fixed.

It’s the 50’s baby

I really did have a good time staying here. Not my usual type of stay but glad I gave it a shot. The hotel and the area it’s located in is like a step back in time. And I do like a bit of history. Check in was easy. Staff friendly. Room was spacious with amenities that would have been more helpful to me if I wasn’t running about trying to see what Brisbane had to offer. Bed wasn’t the plush type but comfortable non the less. The entry to hotel has a little cafe which was nice to stop, gather thoughts, meet other visitors and get some insight. Close to main downtown area of city and botanical gardens. Loads of different Asian restaurants in area, good for the later night munchies, and even a historic cinema a stones throw away. I’d stay there again.

great place!

I would rate this place 4.5 stars only because the unit we stayed in appeared to be under renovation and it looks like some of the hooks in the bathroom were missing (but seriously i am being petty!) It is an amazing place to stay and well worth the money we paid for 2 nights.

A really great place to stay. We had an amazing suite. The location is fabulous . Very close to shopping, restaurants, food halls and cinema. Easy to get to from the airport.
