The view was beautiful, a peaceful place; the staff was friendly and courteous. It's not hot on this side; it's very breezy. The internet was not good for using the TV, and the stove sometimes wouldn't turn on. The reception guy came a few times to help us. Those two things could be improved.

It was a nice secluded hotel with seperate entrances which was more intimate. Only thing i could critize was that the hot tub was broken.

We enjoyed a weekend at Santosha! Our room/apartment was very spacious with a lovely porch which had furniture to eat and sit. The friendly reception person, Xavier, was very attentive to our needs. The views of Walker's beach and the coast from our place were spectacular. We are pleased to have picked Santosha for our staycation while we were long term visitors in Barbados! Please note, having a car is almost a must if you want to see the country from there, or get provisions. Although, Santosha offers food package delivery if you don't have transportation.

This place was magical! We had a suite on the second floor with a huge balcony and a view that would take your breath away! The decor was so beautiful!

Beautiful spot. Helpful and friendly staff. Clean room. Good bed. Great salt-water pool. Some things at Santosha need to be replaced e.g. linens, towels, pool chair cushions.

Agree with others - peaceful and great staff. The loaner phone is a great idea. Very clean. Rugged beauty along the coast. A few relatively mild criticisms, however. 1. Put up a sign. Hard to find if instructions misplaced. Address “ windy hill” doesn’t really help. 2. Some warmth in the Jacuzzi might be nice. Quite brisk! Solar heater ? 3. Same thing for the in room shower. May need to supplement the solar with a bit more electricity sometimes.

Beautiful place

Great views looking over the east coast. Very friendly staff. Nicely decorated rooms. Some of the items in the room are quickly aging, presumably from the sea breeze. (the air conditioner is leaking a bit, for instance). The hotel is in an isolated location. Definitely recommend a car to explore the many sites along the east north of the island. The hotel is a wooden building, so you can hear the people above when they walk around. Overall it was nice and quiet.

Nice hotel but a bit too remote

This is a lovely place with a gorgeous view but it is not that easy to access and get around. There are buses but to get to the south - to the nice beaches - requires you to go around the whole island (have to go to Speightstown and down through Holetown). You can rent a car but be warned, the roads are quite narrow and windy and it can be quite nerve racking driving, especially if you're not use to driving on the left side of the road. This would be a preferable place if there were swimming beaches nearby - everything in the east coast is too wavey and dangerous. Also, the room was nice and well cleaned but if you're planning on doing any cooking I'd suggest you tie up the garbage bag before you go to bed (as it is an open top and is stowed in the under counter cupboard) as we had to kill a couple of roaches trying to get into the garbage. This being said the north east is quite spectaclar with the hills and mountains, so if you're looking for an adventure or to explore this isnt a bad home base. There are some neat areas to drive through (and I would recommend a car or at least be prepared to cab around) and everyone is extremely friendly and will help you out if you're lost. Nice place if you're looking to really get away and aren't looking to hang out at the beach much, but if you want to have a lot of lazy days at the beach or see the south I'd suggest somewhere closer to the st Lawrence gap, or even Holetown.

Remote and Wonderful

Everything is easy with the amazing Joanne in charge Get a rental car and enjoy the remote east coast beaches and easy access to the rest of the island. Santosha is an oasis of peace and quiet luxury

Great stay at a quaint and relaxing place!

We had a great stay and enjoyed staying on the quieter and more scenic north east side of the island. We rented a small car with a gps and were easily able to check out all of the sites and nice beaches on the island which was great. The hotel staff were all extremely helpful and nice. Upon arrival we were given a local cell phone which was very convenient and were introduced to the honesty bar which was a nice luxury and is very indicative of the nature of Santosha.

The view was fantastic! The receptionist was excellent. The apartment we stayed in had a couple of window shutter problems. One was ready to fall off its hinges and the other took us a long time to get closed.
