Friendly host. The property would have been gorgeous in its day but it is more than tired. We were delighted to check in early. You definitely need a vehicle to get back into town.

Loved our stay at Grafton Cottages. Our chalet overlooked the town and ocean. It was nicely furnished with everything we needed. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub (and the complimentary cookies and Baileys!). The staff were friendly and helpful.

We stayed in the Kauri chalet and really liked it. The view is great. The connecting room, Rata’s view is even better, but that room is much smaller. If you are a bigger group, booking these two rooms together will be perfect. We woke up to the birdsongs and had a peaceful breakfast on the balcony. The stairs bring the charm to the place and we did not mind the extra steps. Owner/staff are very friendly. PAKnSAVE is only 6 minutes drive away.

We were greeted by a friendly host and loved our stay here. It was set in a lovely area surrounded by plants and was very clean and comfortable. We particularly enjoyed the view from the bedroom window which was private so we left the curtains open to look at the night sky. Fantastic!

We stayed here on our last night in New Zealand and were so glad we did. Such a warm and friendly welcome and what a place to chill and soak up the beauty of the country before leaving. The pool and spa were awesome, the chalet was clean with a comfy bed and wow the views and sunset were amazing. We will definitely be back when we're next in New Zealand
