Along with 2 outdoor pools, this smoke-free condo building has Access to hot tub and an outdoor tennis court. Free WiFi in public areas and free self parking are also provided. Additionally, concierge services, tour/ticket assistance and barbecues are on-site. Each condo provides a kitchen with a fridge, an oven, a stovetop and a microwave. We had a great stay! The unit we stayed in had nearly everything we needed including laundry machines in unit, pots and pans, and even some snorkeling gear (not a full set but that's okay!). It was great being able to wash our clothes as it reduced the amount of clothes we needed to pack. We also enjoyed spending time by the pools. Also, for those who don't mind walking, the resort is a ~20-25 minutes walk into the main downtown area.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we had to leave we had an amazing time. This is the second time we’ve been to this resort. Check in was so fast, friendly and helpful. We were able to get our room a bit early and we were also given an upgrade which was a great surprise. Our room had such an amazing view of the ocean. We were on the 7 floor. The room was spacious and very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. We felt at home here. And we are already looking at booking for next year. It has 2 pools so lots of room and chairs available. Booking through Expedia was excellent. When I had issues with how they entered our names on our flights I was able to connect with someone right away and they were able to fix everything in a timely manner. Our whole vacation was excellent.

Clean, spacious condo & a short drive from restaurants, grocery etc. The swimming pool area and the ocean views were spectacular. Reception & concierge staff/service was helpful and friendly. Parking was conveniently located. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes etc.

The condo was large and fully equipped and the ocean view from the lanai was beautiful. But the unit was badly in need of a renovation. The paint was faded and chipped and some of the door handles, etc. were badly worn. There was a musty smell when the unit was closed that was quite noticeable. In our opinion, a 3-star rating was generous.

Lovely Setting

The desk was very helpful with directions excetera. When we arrived the toaster was only partially working. When I mentioned that to the front desk before I got back to the room the toaster had already being replaced. The concierge desk was most convenient, however we did find it if you were shopping around you might find a savings on the same motives that the concierge could arrange for you. However the convenience of having holding syringe for you right up the resort was great. There is only one smoking area on the property and if you're on the oceanfront it is a fair Hall if you need to have a cigarette. there are similar areas on the property that could also be designated as a smoking area. Whales were often cited out front but you need a good telephoto to get a good view or good binoculars to get a good view as they are a fair distance from the shore. West facing you get to enjoy the sunset.

Be very picky about which room you choose

We had heard good and bad on previous reviews. The hotel is super cool in its architecture and very pretty grounds and pool. But the rooms range from very old and worn out to newer and renovated. We viewed a couple of rooms upon arrival. We picked the one w tile floors -not worn out dirty carpet, thinking it might be cleaner. But the sofa smelled of BO, the screen doors didn’t close, the dishwasher hardly cleaned, the knives were dull, the bathroom stained and grime, the view was a tree lined parking lot. After a day, We went and asked for another room but they said they had none. We LOVE Kona and have been many times, but this was sadly the least updated and least likeable accommodation. The staff were awesome and always helpful and we spoke to others that had fabulous, renovated clean rooms. So ask for details and an updated room before you book... although we did that also; but it didn’t help us. I still gave a 3 because of staff, pool, the grounds, and it’s quiet,.... but 2 for the room. There are too many other great places to stay on the big island...

Beware of the cleaning fee!

I booked this through Expedia and I know the hotel can add other fees. But $200 cleaning fee! It was close to the cost of 1 nights accommodation! Okay place, we had a view of the parking lot. But felt taken advantage of on the cleaning fee. This needs to be upfront. Interesting, we stayed here because the home we rent every year was not free until Saturday. The cleaning fee for the whole house is 150 dollars and you are aware at time of booking! Not happy. You are warned.

We enjoyed this property very much. It was on the main strip in Kailua right along the shoreline. There was lots of parking space in a covered area with secure access.
