Great Location, Good Amenities

The Mantra 100 is in a FANTASTIC location. Close to trams and buses and everything you could want right out your door - theatres, shopping, the train station, Federation Square, everything in the CBD. After a small traditional hotel room, it was nice to have the space and amentities of an apartment style room - ie. kitchen, in-room laundry facilities, separate lounge and bedroom areas. The hotel is clean, but not impecable. The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly, the house staff did not speak english very well, so when I had problems with the in room washer/dryer unit, they were unable to help, but they did ensure someone came to the room to sort it out. Limited cutlery and dishes in the kitchen, would expect atleast service for 4, but after nothing, we made do! Would definately stay there again.

Good affordable accommodation

Clean and comfortable accommodation for a great price. We had a 2 bedroom apartment we shared with friends. I would have preferred 2 bathrooms but it was good for the price. Reception was efficient and helpful.

Good location and quiet. Room is nice dark and comfortable bed. Spacious and quiet. However cleanliness is questionable, half the mugs put back in cupboard hadn’t been washed covered in coffee and milk, bathroom had just been wiped down not thoroughly clean. Amenities in kitchen could use stocking up there was only one fork and no sharp knives for cutting luckily I was on my own. Overall good for the price for quiet comfortable and walking distance to train and tram and shops.

Another brilliant stay here my go to choice in Melbourne- staff always super friendly and helpful especially with luggage storage and check in after hours. Rooms spacious and modern- rates always reasonable. Perfect!

The hotel's location is very convenient for the CBD and sporting precinct. We could walk back to the hotel after watching a game at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. We stayed in a two-bedroom apartment that was good value for the price that we paid. The windows faced north, and it was a hot day, so the single reverse-cycle airconditioner in the living/dining area struggled to cool the place down - especially the bedrooms. The bedding wasn't very comfortable - scratchy sheets, bouncy mattress, and very high/hard pillows, which, with the warm temperature, didn't help us get a good night's sleep, but the room was reasonably quiet, with not a lot of street noise seeping in. The shower screen was comically narrow, so the bathroom floor got covered in water. Plenty of good quality towels were provided, which helped out there. The toiletries provided were also of a very good quality. The snacks and water on the table provided a lovely welcome, as did the complimentary wi-fi.
