My daughter and I stayed 3 nights.... The hotel is a great place to stay! The room was very quiet and provided lots of space to spread out and enjoy anytime spent in the room! A mini kitchen was perfect for a few quick meals (with a small grocery just 1 block away!). Would be nice if the hotel had a towel in the kitchen for drying the dishes though. The hotel was just 3 blocks for the seaside which was a quick walk. Staff were great. Would recommend and would definitely stay there again.

This is notna 4* hotel. 3* at best. Maybe when it was built 30 years ago it was great , but somewhere in the middle , someone gave up on his dream of maintaining this property.

We were happy to find this place pretty last minute, and reasonably priced compared to other properties in Nice. Having a small kitchen is a must on long trips, and we found multiple small grocery stores within 2-4 minutes walk from the hotel. Loads of bakeries, coffee shops, restaurants and shops nearby, laundromat on the next corner and only a few blocks from the beach. Great location, very safe to walk around and very central. Street parking is basically unavailable, so we opted to pay for underground parking from the hotel. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again if we come back to Nice :)

location is very good. 10 mins walk from the train station and 5 mins walk to the beach. a lot of restaurants within walking distance. AC was working well. Wi-Fi signal is very weak in the room. Room is a bit dark. Overall it is a nice hotel.

Our stay at Goldstar was very nice, the staff we’re always very nice and warm, anything we asked or needed was provided, we were only a couple blocks from the promenade and the bars and restaurants were close

Caution: AC didn’t work

Pro: location good for train, beach, old city. Breakfast had a good assortment. Con: Air conditioning didn’t work. Told Front desk, they couldn’t do anything or switch room as hotel was booked they said. Gave me 3 fans which was severely uncomfortable for young kids in Europe summer. They had a technician come in next day who disconnected switches and didn’t fix probalem. Front desk apologized and said I should just email their office. I did and never heard back. Be aware of you want to be conformtable in a hotel room with AC.

I hesitate to say too much about this hotel, for fear that next time we return to Nice (at least twice a year) rooms will not be available. Truly the best we have found--excellent location, very well maintained, sizeable and well laid out suites. Excellent breakfast. And a staff that is truly informed and always ready to assist. We definitely will return in late March.
