I chose this hotel because there is a VIP access. However, I was told there is not such option in this hotel. And there is no receiption in the hotel. Can only communicate via online. But the room is spacious and clean. Good for traveling with family

Great location overall, close proximity to many buses and trains. Small neighborhood a step back in time and beautiful historic surroundings. The insuite laundry was very handy, used the bathhouse and it was very clean. I also visited a public bathhouse 2 mins away when the property's spa was booked - old but charming. Only downside is the check-in was difficult to get through. It was digital and can only check-in at 3 pm and after.

Minn Gion was amazing and we would definitely stay here again. The rooms were very spacious with comfortable beds, big showers and nice kitchen area. The room and entire property was exceptionally clean. There is a small laundry area in the basement with 2 machines that were easy to use. We did laundry twice with no issues. The sauna and spa was very relaxing and it was nice that you could reserve the whole area for yourself. The property is walking distance from a train station and there is a Family Mart right next door. There are tons of restaurants withing walking distance as well as temples and other attractions. Would definitely recommend Minn Gion to anyone who is looking for a lovely stay in Kyoto!

I stayed in a room that had laundry and a separate nook for the floor Mats with my two kids and husband. It was perfect. Pros: very close to shops and restaurants all walkable and quiet, as well as close a shrine/temple area. Very pretty area around hotel Laundry in suite Hotel area was spacious and really nice. Con: The cleanliness looks nice but in the bathroom shower area you could see previous water speckles showing it probably wasn’t cleaned well and we were short a pillow case and a floor Mat, so we used a couch cushion, when we moved it there was good and dead fly under it which wasn’t great. But even with that the room and area was amazing. Comfortable sleeping for 4-6 people for the room we got.

Room was very large and comfortable. Were given a basement suite when we booked which turned out to be a blessing. Very high ceilings, nice bathroom and big bed. Area was all kept and old Kyoto was walking distance. Check in was a bit choppy but you just need to follow the directions.

Nice, and clean modern room. Convenient location. We had issues with virtual communication as there is no staff on site. The auto light in the room was agonizing as the whole room brightly lights up if anyone goes to washroom.

The property is immaculate, very clean, and the staff is very helpful/polite. They use a cloud check in/check out service that I thought was very quick, simple, and user friendly. I absolutely loved the location with amazing food options that are just a short walk. Highly recommend property to stay while in Kyoto.
