2 Weeks in Tasmania.

We stayed one night enroute from Hobart and did some hiking in the national park. We came oprovisioned to breakfast in our unit, prepare a packed lunch/ hikiing snacks and dinner out at the local restaurant. The freezer in the small fridge worked well enough to create a block of ice for our continued journey the next day.

Die Unterkunft war sauber und relativ gut ausgestattet. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist aber sehr schlecht- für die Leistung viel zu teuer. Wir haben für 3 Personen gebucht und damit über Expedia schon 30 AUD für die 3. Person bezahlt. Beim Check-in hat uns die Angestellt erklärt, wenn wir das 3. Bett nutzen wollten, müssten wir 50 AUD extra bezahlen. Dies steht so nirgends bei dem Angebot online.

Not value for money

Not the worst place we’ve stayed but not value for money. General condition was fine but shower is very tight (nice hot water though), bed was terrible (too hard) and pillows weren’t much better. Floor, creaked badly - enough to wake during the night, tv was tiny but did work. No complementary WiFi but could get Telstra signal (that’s important). Given that there is virtually nothing food wise for breakfast in close proximity, the jars of cereal that were in the room were at an additional cost. Given the cost of the stay, that’s obscene. Finally, you are not really made to feel welcome, actually more like an imposition, but help is given reluctantly. Location is good for the local attractions but we would look to stay elsewhere given the opportunity again.

The cabin was very clean & comfortable. It was very well equipped & perfect for an overnight stay. The lady who checked us in was not welcoming or friendly at all. Not sure if she was the owner but a smile goes a long way!

I was so pleasantly surprised when I walked into the cabin to find the gas heater alight and how cozy, clean and well appointed the cabin was. They seem to have thought of everything. The lady who checked us was also very helpful with tips on where to get dinner as it was late when we arrived.

Great chalet in proper wilderness location. Awesome large spa. Wicked king bed. Great wood heater but would have liked some more kindling to re-light the fire in the morning. Certainly will be back for a longer stay.

Chalets are great, fire was going when we got there. Louise the manager could brush up on her customer skills. Derwent Bridge Hotel 700mt away has great meals.

Ideal cottage for our one night stay, comfortable and good facilities but the owner / checkin lady needs to change her attitude towards her guests, she was very rude and unwelcoming - a smile can make a persons day

We enjoyed the quietness at our accomodation and loved we could catch up on our washing and get our clothes dried in our room after a number of days being on the road. Everything was clean, attractive and thought of by the owner. It was just down the road from the hotel that provided a lovely meal and the wooden sculpture exhibition “The Wall” that was absolutely amazing. Don’t miss it.
