Good stay in Chamonix. Check-in at 1700hrs is quite late and ahould be revised. As a seasoned traveler this is the first time I've ever seen such a late check-out followed by a 1000hrs check-out. Grateful that the check-out was extended to 1100hrs and yes the check-in time is indicated when making the selection for the hotel but just unfortunete. Overall nice stay at Balcon de Savoy.

The property was well located to visit the town and see the resort. The room had a kitchenette which allowed us to relax and not feel pressure to eat out. The staff were friendly and helpful. Overall we had a great stay at the hotel.

It was a good stay except for the lack of flexibility of the check out at 10 AM. The staff argue that room and parking are booked but checking is a 5 pm. Not long ago check outs were at 12 PM and check out at 1 PM. The tight check-in and check-out schedules are inconvenient because travel plans often have uncertainties like flight delays or traffic. A rigid time frame makes it difficult to adjust. Also, checking out early in the morning mean can’t enjoy amenities like swim in the pool and strict schedule add stress to what should be a relaxing experience. I will looking for better checking in and out schedules when booking hotels in the futuro.

Great view and close to center. Staff nice and helpful. Happy to have inside pool. But really needs upkeep and refreshing . Got complimentary bus passes that were useful Chamonix is a great location for people looking for activities outside, walks, climbs etc.

t best a 3 star .. and not a hotel

One key point that is not clearly stated is that this is not a hotel... it is more of a condo rental. As such you will not have the regular hote services such as daily cleaning service, turn down service etc etc. Regarding the star rating... this is not a 4 star hotel. We have travelled fairly extensively and have stayed in 3 to 5 star hotels. This is at best a 3 star. a guest in a 4 star would never expect to have to take out their own garbage and do other cleaning before they leave. One would expect this to be the role of the housekeeping staff. Other niceties that are expected of a 4 star are lacking: extra towels, bathrobes, slippers, etc. Bathrobes are available if requested but there is a daily charge per robe above the room rate. We stayed here in off-season (Oct) so the hotel was fairly empty. One key thing to note is that the walls are very thin in this hotel. Even though empty, the hotel placed us directly beside another occupied room - we discovered that the walls were very very thin. We could hear the actual conversations in the room next door! In peak ski season I suspect the noise would make for a very uncomfortable stay. The location is not bad - - on the edge of the 'downtown' area. The views from the balcony were breathtaking - fantastic views of the moutains which helped to make the stay a bit more enjoyable. Overall I would not recommend this hotel to others.

Great place to stay for a few days or weeks

I would stay here again when we return to Chamonix. We stayed for 2 nights - wish we would have had a week. A quick 5 minute walk to the main area in Chamonix - with a Mt Blanc view the whole way. We had a very nice 1 bed room suite - balcony had a great view of the mountains. Clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff was very relaxed. Also has underground parking.

Would Stay Again

We booked this hotel as part of our honeymoon and were pleasantly surprised when they upgraded us and gave us a bottle of champagne. Service was friendly and helpful, much better than the other four star hotels we stayed at in France. DVD movies are included in the stay as well as a nice Turkish bath. It's slightly outside but within walking distance of the centre of Chamonix, which we liked as we enjoyed a bit of nature beside us instead of the concrete of downtown, and the view of the mountains is amazing. The full kitchen is very handy, and the grocery store is only a five minute walk away.

Nice chalet near Brevent ski area

Nice suite of 2 rooms and a little kitchen well equipped with all you need to prepare meals. Though, the shower was worn out with little debit,they changed it but it was still not functioning well, but manageable. The surroundings are nice ,close to the center and ski areas. Ski in and out is possible if there is enough snow as there is a téléski nearby that takes you next to the Brevent ski area. Ok breakfast. Nice and helpful personnel at the desk. I would come back.

Boa estadia. Acomodações mais antigas, mas que não comprometeram a qualidade. Cama boa, banheiro bom, cozinha completa que ajudou muito por estar com criança. Vista bonita do quarto. Não é no Centro de Chamonix, porém de fácil acesso a pé, 5-10 minutos em qualquer ponto central na cidade.
