We had a great time at Anna's property. This was my second time visiting. It's a great spot (somewhat remote, but that's part of the appeal) with a beautiful pool and beach. The property is quiet and everyone is very friendly. Anna was super accommodating and very responsive. Would recommend!

We loved our stay!! The location was perfect, we didn’t want to be right in the hustle and bustle but wanted to be driving distance. The beaches were so great, the tide pools amazing, pool was perfect and we sat on the veranda facing the ocean every morning and every evening. The security guards were so smiley and nice!! The tiles all over the house are quite slippery when your feet are wet!! The tiles all over the house are quite slippery when your feet are wet so just be aware!

Absolutely gorgeous home and heavenly location. The house was spotless and very well appointed with everything we needed. Jarod, Meaghan and PJ were excellent hosts, most helpful and prompt in answering all our questions and taking care of our needs which included a poolside couples massage which I would highly recommend. One of the best vacations of our lives thanks in large part to Castillo del Mar, the absolutely perfect weather for 14 days and our excellent hosts.

We spent over 2 weeks in Costa Rica, this was the most interesting and memorable 2 days. This place is off the beaten track and takes some effort to get to (and very rough roads for the last bit, may be tough in roads were wet), however, the host was excellent with instructions and we found it first try. Worth the effort, we saw many critters and loved the feel of being away from it all compared to other places. The beach is across and down the road but very close and both times we went we were the only ones there. About a 15min walk to a larger beach with the Tiki Hut. The house is very unique, we all loved how it was put together, along with the roof top view, one of a kind! Highly recommended!

Sam and Mary's house is a paradise. The home, pool and views are splendid and neither words nor pictures tell the story as much as being there. We had days where we simply would not leave the house.The howler monkeys say good morning daily and the stunning sunsets say goodnight. Sam was always available and happy to provide information. Philipe and Zuelika welcomed us and answered any questions. We had an amazing vacation/rest and have awesome memories. 11 nights never went by so quickly. Sandra and Cliff

What an experience! If you are looking for a change from busy all inclusive resorts this is a great option. The unit is gorgeous. Spacious with a back yard with a pool overlooking the ocean. It is in a gated community which adds to the exclusiveness of the experience. The beach which is in walking distance is gorgeous with warm water and good size waves. The property management led by Meaghan took care of all of our request. All around great experience for us. Pura Lavida!

Secluded tree house high in the hills above Playa Negra. Only for the adventurous, but what a reward! The road up is bumpy and steep at times (4x4 recommended but we managed in a 2wd in the dry season), the tree house is high above the ground and the railings are barely there - nothing to obstruct the great views! The location is very quiet with only a few neighbours in the surrounding woods, and reasonably close to nice restaurants, some grocery and the great beaches. Be prepared to live with nature, for better and for worse :) 5/5 stars - would find frogs in both toilets again.
