We stayed here 4 nights and loved it. As soon as we came in we felt right at home. The decor is charming and it had all the amenities we needed. Bedrooms were perfect and the beds very comfortable. We all slept very well. And it was nice to have two full bathrooms. Everything was spotlessly clean and the land around us was so beautiful. Great place to stay as it is centrally located. I highly recommend this lovely home when in Cape Breton!

Beach views, golf course views, spectacular sunrises and sunsets with a fantastic house! I would definitely rent again.

You can tell that this cottage has been enjoyed by family and friends for many years. It is very cozy and the beds are comfortable. Ann has provided everything you need. Just bring your food and you're all set. The beach is great for searching for that special reminder of your time in Cape Breton. The only downfall for me was that the beach had public access. It felt kind of strange trying to enjoy our supper outside while people were driving onto the lot. Our dogs loved running free until someone showed up and we had to leash them. That's what responsible owners do. Other than that, which is no fault of Ann's, it's a wonderful cottage.

The property was perfect for an overnight tour of the area . The owners are personable and accommodating. Highly recommend!!!

House was exactly as advertised and perfect for 4 person golf trip. Close to golf, walk to beach, would highly recommend this property.

We totally enjoyed our second stay at this quiet, relaxing, pet friendly home. The home is conveniently located near several communities where you can eat, shop, immerse yourself in the local culture and music or spend the day at any of the multiple beaches in the area. Since we had booked the property for 10 nights, we appreciated having a fully stocked kitchen which we used daily to cook Canadian and ethnic (curry) meals. As always when staying at other people’s homes, we are aware and respectful of the home. The day before checkout, we washed, dried, folded and put away any towels and cloths used up to this point. Before leaving the pet friendly home on the morning of checkout, we swept the entire upstairs of the house and we mopped the kitchen, dining and living room floors. We washed all the dishes and put them away in their appropriate cupboards and drawers. We disposed of the kitchen garbage and the recycling appropriately. We emptied the fridge, filled up the ice cube trays and left a partial bag of ice and a few popsicles for the next guests or the owners. On the morning of checkout, we left 2 bath towels, 2 face cloths, 1 dish cloth and 1 dish towel in the bathtub to be washed. The cleaner needed only to strip the bedding and throw them, the bathmat and front door mat into the laundry. I hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did. Cheers!

Beautiful location and accommodations

We enjoy this property so much it is private and peaceful. The cottage sits on the lake with a we’ll built stairway to the lake.
