Great location,walking distance to so many hostoric sites, restaurants & shops! The apartment was spacious & had everything we cpuld need. We really enjoyed our stay!

Loved the house. Excellent layout and setting with a great little town that is accessible. Great walks in the woods and lots of sites that are close to visit. Please make sure you have a car but uber does access the location as well as other delivery services. Really incredible pool and amazing grounds, seating and dining al fresco. Check in process was a bit rough and in an ideal world can be more automated but that was also my fault as I arrived at 7pm. The main thing that can be improved is supplying more cleaning products. We understand buying things but to leave two garbage bags and 3 pods for the dishwasher in a premium property with a premium price is really stingy and also we want to keep the place clean. Its a very low cost way to ensure your property is in great condition for a check out. Please make sure to notify host that 7 people or less all the beds are not made up automatically and also we found that the google location of the house is not at all correct and had to use the neighbours address for directions.

The property is absolutely amazing. The 3 buildings (original main house, old church, and newer house) all are elevated and look over the garden rising on the the side of the hill. In the distance you can see the Atlantic Ocean the most amazing sunsets and you can see Monserrate Palace perched on the mountain. The houses are stunning and the gardens well kept. The property is phenomenal and what we were looking at didn’t feel real when we arrived. Diogo and Ana (the property manager and caretaker) are 2 of the nicest people in the entire world. They went out of their way to make everything just that little bit extra elevated. We had one catered dinner that we ordered with them while we were there and Ana had made a homemade lemon gelato, not to mention she built the most beautiful table centerpiece right in front of us with flowers straight from the garden. She always wanted to help and offered to do laundry, clean the rooms and anything she could to make us more comfortable. Diogo was super responsive and even helped us save a trip into town by grabbing some groceries while he was on his way to the villa one evening. This property is stunning and the people there are amazing. 100% worth booking!

Our stay was amazing. The place was even more beautiful than the pictures and we were lucky to have great weather throughout the week we were staying. The place had everything we needed and sofia was always reachable in case we needed anything. I recommend renting a car for your stay or else you will be taking a lot of Uber/Bolts around. Everything is about a 20-30 minute drive. Lisbon is 40-45 min drive away. I highly recommend this place!

If I could give this place a 10 star rating I would. This is exactly the sort of vacation home we love. Six friendly dogs to greet you at the gate and a beautiful apartment that felt like home. A pen filled with chickens and a quiet rooster, made this place feel like we were off the beaten path despite being right off the 247. Gabriela and her husband were the most accommodating and kind hosts. When we arrived, we found a loaf of fresh bread, ham and cheese and farm fresh eggs, and wine! It was perfect because we were hungry from driving directly from the airport. There is a beautiful hike right outside the back gate. 3.5 km up to the Sanctuary of Peninha, which overlooks Cascais and Cabo de Roca. We drove to three local beaches and sat and read listening to the waves. We drove to Sesimbra (an hour) and went for a swim. We drove to Cascais (half an hour) and Mafra (less than an hour), which made this spot absolutely perfect. We regret going to Porto and Lisbon to be honest. You should know Qinta de Senhora de Vida is in Colares, between the ocean and the Sintra hills, so it can feel damp and laundry takes a little longer to dry. The spot would be perfect for a family or a few quiet friends. If anyone asks me where they should go in Portugal, I am going to say this place, and don't book anywhere else.

We were welcomed by Carole who showed us around this fabulous property. Huge bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, beautiful bedroom and sitting room. All with spectacular views out over the area. The extra suprise was the beautiful pool that looked like it was out of Roman times. She had a fully stocked fridge waiting with everything we needed for breakfast. Such a joy to stay at Cinco cottage, the only regret was not booking for a week. We will return.
