There was a group of eight of us at the house for seven days The property and staff were excellent to say the least. The house keeping, condition of the house, the layout of both the property and the house are excellent. The staff went above and beyond during our stay. We enjoyed our stay in Belize. Groovy Gecko is a beautiful property meticulously maintained by the staff. A couple of drawbacks were the noise. The street noise starts about 5:00 am, neighbors on both sides can be loud any time of the day, staff are fixing or building things most of the day. Peaceful and tranquil this place is not.

Stayed November 11-18 2023. Everything was top notch. Mabel was on top of things. Quick to respond to texts from Supplied mobile phone! Great to have on drive to Placencia with golf gart. Chef (we hired for the extra days) was awesome. Domingo did nothing but please our palets, Thanks again. Only thing that was not brought to our attention were outside lights. Found the pool lights and Palapa at end of pier lights second last day. A sign on post might help or include in orientation. All in all stay was 100% Would stay and recomend any Gecko properties to friends and family.

From the moment we walked in to the property, we were impressed. A beautiful space, with a fantastic staff who were always courteous and quick to help, even going out of their way to ensure the little details were taken care of. We definitely are keeping Gecko in mind for our next visit.

Ideal spot for family reunion

The description of this house is spot-on! We spent our days on paddle boards, snorkeling, reading, playing corn-hole and lounging in hammocks. The one thing you can't grasp from the pictures is the true beauty of the beach and the sea. The water is generally calm with small, lapping waves and the beach is very private, besides the neighbors on either side. It is incredibly peaceful, despite being right on Placencia road. The house itself was perfect for the six of us, but keep in mind the third bedroom seems to have been an add-on....so a little smaller with no independent AC and also a little less private, as the walls consist of oversized plantation shutters. Still would not have been a deal-breaker, just FYI. I liked the location, being in between downtown Placencia and the Hummingbird Highway. Great local restaurants....our favorite was The Green Parrot, and we loved Jaguar Lanes for the bowling and outdoor pool table. Christine and Leo were also extremely helpful and super-quick to respond to any email/text. Overall, would highly recommend Casa de la Vista....we had an amazing time at Christine's house!
