Southern California cabins

My husband and I were looking for a romantic getaway to celebrate our 50th birthdays. This place delivered everything we hoped for and more. The property is at the end of the cul-de-sac which makes it feel very private. It's nestled amongst huge boulders, trees and a lovely babbling creek. Upon arrival, we enjoyed the many information sheets which helped us quickly settle in and felt a like a fun little game. The hosts were very reachable and answered our emails and texted very promptly. The house is fully equipped with everything you need. The town of Iddlywild is only a 5-min drive away and it's adorable with all the stores you need to stock up for your stay. We stayed for a week so ventured further afield, Palm Springs is just over an hour away, Joshua Tree National Park is another 30-mins beyond there. San Diego was a bit of a longer drive (2.5 hrs), but we were able to enjoy the mountains, the desert and the ocean all from this central location. Highly recommend!

Knotty pine surrounded us with iridescent touches while we enjoyed an evergreen filtered view of Lake Arrowhead. After a full day of hiking and exploring, we loved returning to our elegantly cozy cabin to watch the sunset while dining on the deck. We will be back!
