Truly a cozy log cabin in the woods

It was a cool and wet weekend near Ellicottville for what turned out to be a great day of skiing for us. This property was fully suitable for cozy evenings inside in the winter; board games, a decent pool table, Pac-Man (!), space to be together — or apart, and comfortable beds for everyone. We are definitely considering a visit during the summer to do some biking, and to enjoy the fire pit and views of nature from the deck in the back, or sit in the rocking chairs on the front porch to read a book and witness the surrounding forest life. We came upon this because of a mix-up with another property. Lucky us!Thanks to Josh and Kara. I hope we left everything in good order.

Second time staying and enjoyed it just as much

We stayed here in 2019 and loved it, and were happy to get back in 2022 after Covid kept us from crossing the border for so long. Its a great spot to go in the fall to see the Allegany colors and visit Ellicottville. The hot tub is great in the evenings and the cottage itself is clean, quiet and stocked with anything we would have needed. We'd happily come back. Only minor issue (and beyond the control of the owners) is that we noticed when Ellicottville gets busy on the weekend it puts a bit of a strain on the cell/wifi reception at the cottage, and it gets better again later in the evening. Not really a big deal since we were mostly out during the day. Hopefully in time some more towers get built in the area to improve that.

Beautiful spot!

Great stay over a long weekend. The cabin was a beautiful home base for skiing and enjoying the outdoors. Our kids loved the loft and we loved watching the sunset with the wood stove keeping us warm. Thanks for sharing your cabin with us!
