Vacation rentals near Salmon River Lake

Everything we could’ve asked for or expected. The home felt new in every way and the amenities gave it a luxurious feel. There was a rocky beach a few hundred feet down a path which was great for exploring and watching the seals and we even found a section suitable for swimming with our 4 year old. The view from the cottage of tall spruce trees and the open Atlantic Ocean was made even better by floor to cathedral ceiling windows and a large wraparound deck with Adirondack chairs. Perfect for enjoying the complimentary morning coffee with a view!Well-appointed bathrooms, comfortable and spacious bedrooms, and a kitchen nicer than what we have at home, made our stay that much better. The cherry on top was how kind and responsive our host was when we had questions before or during our stay. Two incredible beaches are within 25 minutes and two more are within 45 minutes. Groceries are only 14 mins away along with a couple of good restaurants. We cannot wait to come back and would highly recommend this to cottage on the ocean to anyone!

Marvin's customer service began before we arrived! The cottage was East Coast charming, bright, fully equipped and ready for groceries only. The view of the ocean bay outside the door each morning was spectacular! We loved seeing the lighthouses and fishing boats. The eagles in the area were beautiful! Halifax, Lunenburg and Peggy's Cove were in close proximity and there were many beautiful beach options in the area. Grocery stores were close by, gas and even Timmies were only minutes away! We cant say enough about this experience!

He's probably was absolutely fantastic. Felt at home from the minute I got there. It's clean, well presented. The host was fantastic with any little problems. He knew the storm was coming in so he checked on that. He knew there was power outages in the area so he checked in with that. Yeah is just a wonderful experience

Amazing! We spent most of August 2023 at this beach house on Martinique Beach - partly working, and partly on vacation. The house is beautiful and airy, nicely decorated, well maintained, well laid out, and very clean. The location is absolutely spectacular. Even though we got a pretty damp August, we loved the views, walks on the 5 km beach, sunset glasses of wine on the upper deck, and several gorgeous beach days with surfing, sunning and swimming. It was a great getaway. Some days we saw maybe 8 people on the beach all day, and on hot sunny days it was busier, but never crowded. Even though we felt like we were in a special spot away from it all, the house is just 12 minutes from a great coffee shop in Musquodoboit Harbour, and 25 minutes from the Atlantic Superstore in Porters Lake. Michael and Lisa were very responsive to our inquiries and also helped with a couple special requests. Highly recommend this rental (although we almost hope not too many people discover it :-)

What struck us most about the place was how unique and interesting the place was, both outside and inside. Special little touches around the place, nooks and crannies and places to explore that left us feeling like we had a lovely little retreat. The beds are comfortable and the shower is great too :)
