Vacation rentals near Little Beaver Lakes Nature Reserve

My stay was perfect. Having spent my summers on the Bras d’Or lake as a child I knew what I was getting with regards to lake (it is clear, warmer than the ocean, salt water —perfect to me!), but this was my first stay at Lakeside Luxury. I booked the cottage which was a great option for privacy, the screened porch was perfect for the mornings and evenings to get away from bugs. The bed was very comfortable and so was the sofa and there were some really great finishes in the cottage to give it a luxury feel but still with the Cape Breton vibes I grew up with. It was so peaceful and I loved spending my days on the private dock and then going back in the evening to get my sunset pictures (Bras d’Or Arm of Gold). The staff were exceptional. I stayed a week so saw them come and go and they checked in periodically to see if I needed anything and were very pleasant. I needed to get away from my life and spend some time alone with just the sounds of rustling trees and the water lapping on the shore and this place was the perfect choice!! Thank you for an amazing vacation!

This is a fantastic place for a family mix of ages. Great deck overlooking the lake. Kayaks were a big hit with the older kids. The house itself was ideal with well appointed kitchen, 5 bedrooms and the 2 bathrooms were a godsent. The size of the place meant 9 people and a dog were never on top of each other and the large living room was excellent for evening get togethers. The wifi and TV were good but as noted the phone coverage was next to non-existent (this is the fault of the service provider not the host).Greg was a good host with answers to our questions and supplying information. I would definitely recommend this place.

The place was amazing! Enough place for our 2 young kids (under 2) to play and to sleep! We had a really great time and we would come back again with no hesitation! Thank you for the high chair for our kids and your quick answer any time we needed it! to add

Our stay at Eberhard's Cottage was exactly what we were looking for. Located right on Bras d'Or Lake surrounded by wildlife and natural beauty. It was very private with a short drive to St. Peter's. A great place to stay as a starting point to travel the Cabot Trail. Eberhard was a very kind and helpful host. Would recommend to others.

Lovely place with great views, quiet and relaxing. Wonderful host . Well stocked with thoughtful treats. A great place to rest and recharge. Great location. If you’re looking for a place to getaway this is it.
