Our family just finished a wonderful week in this Lake Huron/Kincardine gem. Everything we wanted and more in this beautifully appointed lake house; direct beach access and stunning sunset views, numerous comfortable options for inside and outside living, chef’s kitchen and proximity to town for restaurants and shopping. Our host was exceptionally helpful and responsive. Thank you for our lovely stay … looking forward to our return!

Great memories were made last week in this beautiful Lurgan Beach cottage. My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful week here with our daughter, son-in-law and 3 terrific granddaughters (ages 7, 5 and 3). The cottage is exactly as pictured just a short walk to a lovely sandy beach with a large backyard, perfect for yard games provided by the owners and roasting marshmallows at a private fire pit. The home’s decor is fresh, contemporary and comfortable, as well as fully functional and so well stocked. With our active family of seven, the two full bathrooms and in-home laundry were very handy! Beach toys, wagon to carry everything to the beach, outdoor and indoor games, a great screened bunkie just made for family dining, close to tennis and golf, even made it to the Pipe Band Parade in Kincardine … the list goes on. We had a truly wonderful time and made lots of great memories. Thank you, Jon!

We rented this property with our extended family included 3 kids: 3,4,5! The property was so well set up for both adults and kids to enjoy. The deck has the best view of the lake and beautiful sunsets, with comfortable outdoor furniture and a large patio umbrella for some shade when needed. There was a small level sandy area in front of the deck where we enjoyed nightly campfires, and the kids could play safely within eye sight. The beach itself still has sandy areas to play but does get quite rocky - we were familiar with the area and just knew to pack our water shoes, so this would be my only tip if you aren't used to rocky beaches. The cottage is even more spacious inside than the photos show, with lots of space for people to gather, but also individual spots to relax and be alone if needed. Kitchen we well equipped with anything that you need to cook, just be sure to bring all of your own consumables (including things like oil, spices) We had such a wonderful stay and hope to be back again next year!

Despite the heat, we enjoyed the property, responsiveness of host and surrounding communities. Enjoyed it very much.
