We rented the house for a family getaway (5 adults, 5 kids ages 9,6, 4 and two babies). This lovely property was perfect for all ages. The home is very spacious, clean and extremely well equipped. The kitchen has all of the tools anyone could need, appliances were top notch and we loved the added bonus of laundry on-site (a necessity with the kiddos).
The master bedrooms upstairs were more like hotel suites, with gorgeous en suites and both have balconies overlooking the pool and beach.
Outside there are several seating areas, a beautiful hammock between two palm trees and a lovely pool. You literally step onto the beach from the back patio. The bbq looked brand new. There are bicycles, paddles boards and tennis courts (in the little community) to enjoy. Racquets and balls were available in the house, along with a basketball.
Renting a car is a must (left hand drive) for shopping, dining out. The kids loved the turtle conservation centre. If you like ribs, jerk chicken and similar food, Macabuca is a great tiki bar restaurant on the ocean. One night a week they have a buffet (highly recommend it!). Tillies for a more upscale dining. All are within an easy drive.
Overall, this property had it all!! It was clean, well stocked with necessities and so spacious. Outdoors, well it is a bit of paradise. My only comment about the beach is that the shoreline is not smooth sand. Because we had a week of some unsettled weather (which made little difference to us), the ocean was a bit too rough for the kids and beach shoes would be needed as there is coral/rocks when you enter the water. It was a trip of a lifetime for us!

Beautiful views, great snorkelling.

My family of 5 (including 3 children under 12) enjoyed our stay in unit #22 at the retreat at rum point. The unit is on the third floor so ability to climb stairs is important but the views from the screened in porch are absolutely beautiful. My children enjoyed the pool everyday. My older boys did the drift snorkel with their Dad out front and saw turtles, nurse sharks, healthy coral and many fish. A walk down the beach a few properties past the new resort beside the retreat made a good entry point and the drift took them to directly out front our property. There is a rock wall to the right of Rum Point in the shallow bay that provided great beginner snorkelling. We even saw lionfish and squirrel fish.
The sunsets are spectacular from the beach!
The condo had plenty of space for the five of us. The kitchen was well stocked and the dishwasher as well as laundry facilities were great to have. There was a large supply of snorkelling equipment, including masks and fins for adults and kids.
We rented a car and drove all over! My kids were able to snorkel Eden Rock, see turtles at Spotts Beach and swim with many fish at Smith's Cove. We played in the crystal clear water at Governer's Beach (great parking lot). We also spent a few hours at Camana Bay (climb the lookout tower and look at the amazing mosaic artwork on the walls). We did spend a few hours at the Turtle Farm. My five year old loved the waterside!
We enjoyed dinner at Over the Edge and lunch at Kaibo Beach bar. We went to Eagle Ray's for lionfish tacos (east end) and Tukka. My kids liked watching the Blowholes on the east end. Rum point was still closed (covid) but we enjoyed the seclusion!
Chisolm's was a great little grocery store (and the only one open Sundays).
I would highly recommend this condo and my family hope to return one day. Thank you for allowing us to use your space for a very memorable and much needed holiday. A week is never long enough!
This property was ideal for us as we were visiting friends who had a house almost directly across the street. It was a perfect size for our family of four and we especially appreciated the direct walk out to a sandy beach and access to a cabana. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you!

Property was lovely and very comfortable. Beautiful area for walking.
Boats were very fast and loud on the weekends, but nice and quiet through the week.
A rental car was needed as you are a long way out. A few restaurants did deliver but nothing was open within walking distance.
