Vacation rentals near Monteverde Orchid Garden

We arrived to breathtaking views of Lake Arenal and the volcano. Over the next couple of days we savored delicious varied breakfasts and a German cuisine inspired dinner that was prepared and customized to accommodate our dietary restrictions. All of us enjoyed visiting the hot tub daily. The library was well utilized during our stay. So many genres of books for our varied interests! We strolled through the gardens, admiring the many tropical plants and flowers and even saw toucans both mornings. The kitchen is very well equipped, and the beds were comfortable. This is an amazing, large yet cozy property with hosts that make us feel that this is our home away from home! We can’t wait to return!

We had a great stay, enjoying the peaceful environment, beautiful views and spacious home. Xinia was a gracious host, showing us around and sharing bananas.

Myself and adult daughter spent a week at this AMAZING property. It was beautiful, natural, wild - everything we dreamed of in a Costa Rican adventure. We spent every dawn and dusk watching and listening to the birds, trying to capture as many as possible on ‘film’. (Side recommendation - download the Merlin bird ID app so you can ID the hundreds of bird species you’ll see).Michael’s recommendations were also amazing and helped us check all our boxes (see toucans, swim in a blue river, Find the monkeys!) and the house was also perfect with amazing views, lovely cross breezes and the perfect deck. It was also amazingly creepy crawly free.It was our first trip to Costa Rica and we’ll definitely be back!

From the time of booking to the moment we left Marty and Nita were excellent hosts! The property is mesmerizing and they provide excellent info regarding where to eat, excursions, tipping in CR, car rentals, etc. Their property sits atop a small mountain with jungle surroundings, exquisite gardens, and a great view of the volcano. The suite was superb with many extras for use like binoculars, bug spray, umbrellas, toiletries, beverages in the fridge, a welcome gift, robes and slippers to mention a few. The made to order breakfasts were delicious and the pools and hot tub in the pristine surroundings devine. Their fur babies gave us some love which was terrific since we missed ours so much. They only have 2 suites so sometimes it feels like you own the place as you lounge outdoors in the sun. I could go on and on! Highly recommend you stay here! Our stay at the Encantada Arenal was wonderful Marty and Nita are super hosts, and their property is amazing! It was fun sitting having coffe in the morning and watching the Tucans eat the fruit off the tree outside the cottage. The views are amazing and the people are so nice and warm and friendly. The view of lake Arenal is spectacular and the volcano is amazing. There is so much to do there you will never be bored.We look forward to our next trip back to Encantada Arenal.

This place exceeded all our expectations! Nestled in a peaceful setting surrounded by lush rainforest and stunning landscaping, it offered the perfect retreat. The hot tub was a highlight for our group, especially during the day when it was cooler and perfect for the kids. It provided a relaxing way to soak in the serene atmosphere.We also appreciated thoughtful touches like the swings and BBQ area, which added to the charm, and the host's preparation with umbrellas for the rain made us feel well cared for.However, be aware that the road leading up to the property is quite rough. A 4x4 with high clearance is a must, and while our Toyota RAV4 managed just fine, it’s a longer drive than expected, making quick trips to town less convenient. That said, the tranquility and beauty of this location are absolutely worth it!Would definitely stay here again and I will recommend it to all of our friends and family!

This house was everything we expected and more. The sunsets were spectacular from the jacuzzi and through the panoramic windows, with views of 3 volcanos and the Gulf of Nicoya. The occassional double rainbows were a treat, it could be called Sunset Rainbow House with no exageration. Ingid Ingid sent very detailed instructions, info regarding house and things to do prior to our arrival. Directions to the house and entry were clear. The interior was spotless throughout, kitchen well appointed with all the amenities, 2 bedrooms and family room with new smart Tvs. In fact everything appeared to be new, from kitchen appliances to furniture. The maid spent the day tidying up halfway through our week-long stay. If you want to avoid the tourist bustle in St. Elena but still want to partake of what it has to offer, like the many restaurants, they are just a short drive away, as are all the other attractions in the area. Peace and quiet, with lots of action if you want it. We are a senior couple and felt very secure in the house and surrounding area.
