Wonderful property in a fantastic environment

View and location are amazing! Small price to pay is the noise from the nearby Highway 34 at night coming from trucks using their jake brake. Otherwise highly recommended. Great host.

Wow, wow and more wow! Casa Bambu is a special, special place, and we were so fortunate to spend 6 magical days there. Peggy was wonderful answering my questions and providing recommendations before we arrived (and yes, get the 4x4 - you need it. I’ve been driving Costa Rican roads for 14 years, and the road up is no joke. But it becomes an incredible part of the adventure!) Jorge and Trina (property managers) were amazing and answered any questions we had. And the HOUSE!! The view is spectacular. You feel really secluded in a private, natural, calm, quiet oasis. We loved cooling off in the pool, sunsets on the loungers, morning time on the covered veranda watching the toucans, beautiful dinners in the eating nook and pre-sunrise snuggles in the beautifully appointed bedroom with the spectacular view. You have everything there that you need to chill, relax, cook great meals and connect with nature. If Casa Bambu is available, grab it! You will leave relaxed, re-energized and definitely believing in magic!

This gorgeous property is exactly as it is portrayed in the listing. It is modern, clean and thoughtfully designed and outfitted with bespoke furnishings and cabinetry. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering. Set in beautifully maintained gardens, the villa is very private - neither overlooked nor do you see any of the neighbouring properties. The view from the deck is breathtaking and because you are in the tree canopy, the bird and wildlife viewing is amazing. The road up from the coastal highway is rough and can be slow, especially if there are heavy vehicles making the climb. A 4X4 is essential. We enjoyed the terrace and the plunge pool and found we only wanted to go down to Uvita or Dominical and the beaches every every two or three days. Communication with the owner was prompt and helpful. The local representative provided a warm welcome and orientation and was available if we needed anything. We were very sad to leave at the end of our time.

We have been visiting the Uvita region for 10 years. This was one of the best villas and experiences we have had. The owners are extremely responsive (Thanks so much Brenda!) & the property manager, Trina (& her assistant Jorge) are always most helpful! The accommodations were simply excellent. It is obvious that Brenda & Alf also stay and use the villa as there was not much missing relative to the amenities (this makes a difference versus places that are solely for rental use). The view is spectacular! Great pool and patio area. The mountain climb is one of the toughest in Uvita but that is something that we love! Beautiful property, fantastic view, very clean, comfortable and well appointed stay! We loved the veranda and the daily visits from the many wonderful bird species. The nature that surrounds the property is just lovely. The pool was a welcome addition to help cool off on those particularly hot, humid days. Within a short drive to all amenities. Would definitely stay here again if visiting this region!

We keep coming back, what else to be said? The area is certainly getting busier, and this house provides the perfect balance of proximity and privacy. Oscar is an excellent host, very responsive to any needs as always. Pura Vida!
