Excellent location looking out over the ocean. Accommodation was excellent. Most comfy and cosy bed. Has everthing you need. Your own hot tub, after a day of touring the area and the dark skies and stars topped off each day!
We loved our stay at this exceptional property. It is beautifully appointed, super clean and furnished with the perfect mix of comfort and style. The hosts provided us with great material on local attractions and restaurants. The timetime in Lunenburg was relaxing and enjoyable with no worries about our accomodations. We will definately stay there again.
We found this cottage to be very charming and homey. The view of the deer in the morning out of our bedroom windows and then in the front of the cottage reaching up to eat the apples from the tree was delightful. It was wonderful to hear the ocean from the cottage. Thus, we felt very much at home. Thank you for sharing your home with us. Just a warning to others, please do not drive at night as deer are everywhere and one hit my car the night we arrived which was the only damper to our trip.
Not only were our sunsets spectacular, but the birds and animals provided a lot of entertainment: deer, porcupines, herons (always at battle!), osprey, cormorants and even hummingbirds. We were guaranteed a deer at the roadside every evening upon our return to the cottage.
This was the first time we were able to actually sit and watch the tide come in after studying the tidal charts. When you're from a fresh-water province, the tide is quite an oddity.
Kayaking topped the list. There were so many inlets to explore and fellow boaters offered friendly waves. There were even 2 powerful rowers going by in a dory.
Being 10 minutes away from Lunenburg gave us the perfect opportunity to hop into town for shopping and dining. Then, of course, the 20 minute drive to Mahone Bay was a must. We ventured as far as Windsor (1 hr) to Bent Ridge Winery for an excellent lunch, set in a picturesque valley, and offered PYO fruit.
We'd go back in a snap, but fly instead; the drive from Ontario was rather wicked.
From waking up and having coffee on the deck to nightly Bonfires by the water. You would almost assume there were no neighbors it's so relaxing and calm. We even had a visit from a few Deer one morning. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and would definitely come back again.

Kyle's place is excellent in a number of ways. Its location is spectacular - up a hill overlooking the Atlantic along Nova Scotia's South Shore, between Bridgewater and Liverpool. It's a sheltered part of that shore, so you see the LaHave Islands and the ocean beyond. It's a lovely two bedroom cottage full of light, where you have that ocean view all day long. It's a comfortable place with everything you would want for a family with a couple of kids, or two couples. And it's a short walk from the world class baked goods, coffee, sandwiches and artisanal chocolate at the Ploughman's Lunch. And near the beautiful Crescent Beach and Risser's Beach. Our host Kyle was responsive and very helpful all round. We will definitely be back.
The house is great- modern, very comfortable and good for a family. The kitchen is well equipped with all you need to prepare meals. While the location close to Lunenburg is convenient, unfortunately the house is situated right on a very busy road. Constant traffic makes it quite noisy. The house was advertised with a hot tub which it doesn’t have.
