This cozy cottage was a good size for our family 6 and was well equipped. It was clean and cool with AC when we arrived. Having 2 bathrooms was very convenient. We enjoyed the pools and Sandbanks pass. Charming owners with fantastic communication.

I wanted to write this review while everything was still fresh in my mind. Our family all got together here to connect and relax on West Lake for the week. We had a wonderful time on this property. Everything is as advertised and more. I have never seen a rental so stocked with everything you could have anticipated and more. Greg also made sure to go out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and were comfortable and enjoying the property. The kitchen and outdoor dining areas are fantastic! Our family enjoyed meals at the long table which can easily seat 12 people. There are many seating areas outdoors and indoors. So even though there may be 10 of you staying here, you still have plenty of room and never feel like you don’t have your own space. The dock area and water are great! We brought a boat which I would recommend as the lake has lots to see. Whether it’s a trip to the sand dunes or boating into Wellington and docking for lunch. I can confidently and highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a wonderful getaway where the owners make you feel like guests and friends.

We decided to spend our honeymoon in PEC, staying at the Runaway Rooster for 4 nights. Karen & George were super welcoming and great to communicate with. Knowing of our recent special occasion, they were kind enough to greet us with a local fave Rose wine, chilled and ready for us upon arrival. It was a lovely first impression and welcome.The VRBO itself has all the amenities you could possibly need. Well stocked and comfortable, we will definitely visit again when we are next in PEC. I highly recommend leaning on Karen & George's expertise if you have any questions on what to do in the area. All their suggestions were hits.Lastly, they do offer a 2 course breakfast (paid, per person) which we also highly recommend. The breakfast items were thoughtfully prepared - you might've thought it was prepared by a professional chef! Definitely recommend to partake in this upgrade.Thank you again Karen & George!J&L

Wow! Those were the first words out of our mouths when we arrived. Judy and her family had done such a wonderful job thinking of everything (from leaving notes and directions and a thoughtful cottage care package). The location is awesome. Nice and quiet and close to the small towns of Picton and Bath, but close enough to Napanee and Kingston. Being right on the water is amazing. Will definitely think about maybe bringing a boat next time to explore more. The cottage is cozy and lots of sleeping space. Kitchen and washroom facilities are what they need to be, clean and well stocked. The beds were super comfortable. Having AC was a bonus. Didn’t spend a lot of time inside as the property was well shaded and great to just sit outside and enjoy. In the evening the firepit was perfect for s’mores and conversation. Also lots of parking to accommodate the 4 cars we had. The bunky was a nice add on for some privacy along with more sleeping space. I can’t say enough about how well the place met our expectations. Definitely will be looking to stay here again in the future. Thanks again Judy and family. Almost don’t want to comment and review so we can keep this gem to ourselves. :)Dave

Very good location! 1h away from sandbanks, perfect to spend the day at the beach. The property was very clean and well equipped. My friends and I really enjoyed our stay!

Very clean ! Super easy to check in with Randy who was very helpful and friendly. The only thing is .. in the description of the cottage, it’s written that we have to bring blankets, towels, paper towels, etc. When everything is already in the cottage ! So no need to pack all those things

Our stay at this charming cottage was nothing short of magical. Nestled in a serene winter landscape, the cottage offered breathtaking views of the partly snow-covered lake, creating a picture-perfect setting. The interior was warm and inviting, with a crackling fireplace that made for cozy evenings after a day of exploring the snowy surroundings. The large windows provided stunning views of the frozen lake, where we could see patches of open water shimmering under the winter sun. Despite the cold, we enjoyed peaceful walks along the shoreline, with fresh snow crunching under our boots. The cottage was well-equipped with all the essentials, making our stay comfortable and relaxing. Whether sipping hot cocoa by the fire or admiring the tranquil winter scenery, this retreat was the perfect escape from the city. We can't wait to return for another seasonal adventure!

Excellent spot to stay for a getaway in PEC, other than a slight miscommunication from the front desk staff on check-in (which was quickly rectified by the host and apologized for profusely by the resort staff) it was a great weekend in a super cute cottage!
