Our two week stay couldn’t have been better….our cottage was modern with all the facilities you would expect from the five star accommodation. We hope to return. Thank you Alan and liz

Could not have been better! Cream tea upon arrival. Great communication with hints/recommendations about local places to visit. So much to see locally, including a great hike up nearby Rough Tor. Lovely accommodation so well thought out and maintained. Owners great, too. We loved it!

Such a brilliant location for us to explore the English Riviera along & around Torbay. The cottage in that village was all we wanted as a base for our explorations. Acorn cottage had all the facilities we needed and was clean, convenient and cozy. Thanks to our host for making us feel welcome!

We were a family of 10! Two grandparents, four parents and four teenagers. Jubed’s place worked out perfect for us. We were easily able to get there by connection from train arrival at Kings Cross and depart using the tube to Heathrow on the Piccadilly line. Each time we walked to and from the tube station with our bags in less than 10 minutes. Jubed was a delight to work with and very helpful throughout. We kept very busy in London using our London pass. Also one of the men working at the tube station was very helpful and advised the best way to use the tube is pay with Apple. We had bought daily passes, but he said Apple is cheaper. It would take about 25 minutes by tube to get to the Thames, but sometimes we liked to take the bus and enjoy the view, that took about 50 minutes. We were able to enjoy breakfast and pack lunches. We generally ate out for dinner. One time we ate at a local Brazilian restaurant. There were four of us and the servings were so big we could have probably fed the 10 of us. If you want a beautiful and authentic experience in the British countryside, This. Is. the. Place. The cottage is immaculately clean and has absolutely everything you would need. The bed is super comfortable, the view is breathtaking, and the neighborhood is so peaceful and quiet. If ever I have the privilege of coming to England again, I would reserve this property in a heartbeat, but for longer next time. Monday to Friday only really gave me three full days and I could have spent longer. Everything you might want to see in the park is really close by. Chatsworth park is just a 20-25 minute walk away through the beautiful village and trails. I went early in the morning and saw lots of beautiful deer just relaxing in the park with the sheep. If you want to see the peak district this is the perfect base. You would not be disappointed if you reserved this property. Just a note: I love the stairs because they're a part of the cottage charm, but the bedroom and bathroom are upstairs and the stairs would be tricky/impossible for someone with mobility issues. I just thought of it because my mom uses a cane sometimes and would not have been able to do the stairs if she were with us.
