On our short visit our host made sure we captured the essence of this amazing historical city.

What a great place to stay! We loved being able to walk to all the points of interest in Matera. So many things to see and do! It's a very unique place. Our host was kind enough to help us organize a walking tour of Matera early in our stay which proved to be a great orientation to Matera. The apartment was very clean, comfortable, well stocked and very quiet. Everything we needed was close at hand. The rooms matched the photos perfectly. Wi-Fi and Internet service were easy and performed as expected. Our host, Vittoria was very welcoming and responsive to our requests and made our whole stay in Matera wonderful. Highly recommended. Would stay in this Casa again!

We arrived not really knowing about Matera and once we turned the corner on the bus and saw what the Sassi was all about our jaws dropped! Then to discover that we would be staying in the heart of it in a beautiful cave home was the beginning of a magical three days. Easy to park following host’s directions to the public car park and an easy bus ride to the end of the line in heart of it all. Good instructions to find the place and so tastefully and well decorated. A lovely welcome gift of wine and snacks for our anniversary was really special. The bed was super comfortable- best sleep so far in Italy. The cave shower was amazing and all the touches of lighting made a cozy hang out on our one rainy day. Matera has so many great restaurants and interesting places to discover we easily filled our three days. The hike to the caves is wonderful and the whole vibe was sacred and elevated. This place is a gem and very well priced for the value you get. I would recommend to stay!
