Vacation rentals near Great Island

We stayed in the beach house for 4 nights and it was perfect. The house is very comfortable and quiet. The view of the bay is stunning. We enjoyed the hot tub and the relaxing sound of the gulls. Our last night amazed us with a double rainbow and to our delight, there were whales in the bay on our last morning. I would highly recommend this stay!

It was fantastic myself and my girlfriend loved the place. We stayed for two nights one night. We had her mom and her niece stay with us. They loved it. No complaints whatsoever. Great spot.

This was a great place to stay! It is in a great location to day trip to most of the Avalon Peninsula including St. John’s. You are so close you could walk to 3 whale watching tours and for the adventurous it is a 4km walk to the Bay Bulls lighthouse on the East Coast Trail. The balcony looks out over Bay Bulls which was great for the never ending search for whales (bring binoculars). It was very clean, had everything we needed and was very quiet and private from the house. The hosts were quick to reply and were very friendly and helpful.

We are a group of 3 couples who stayed at the “cottage” for a week in July. We left each day to hike and tour. It was perfect for us. Wonderful gathering areas inside and out with fully equipped kitchen with everything you could ask for. Margaret was very quick to respond to any questions. Lovely stay.

We had a wonderful relaxing stay at this property. The property was very well maintained and the home was beautiful inside. The owners made us feel very welcome. We were extremely happy that we chose this property for our special vacation.

Very clean, cozy and quiet, just what we were looking for. Close to numerous hiking trails and friendly small villages, and close to St John's.

The Puffin Burrow is completely as advertised. The hosts provide clear communications for locating and enjoying the suite and the area, the amenities of the suite are top of line, and the ocean and marine ecological reserve views spectacular. All of this and less than an hour South of St. John's. Exceptional.

Beautiful property with the perfect set up. We had such an amazing time during our stay. Very relaxing and private.
