This is a great little place to stay

If your looking to get away and enjoy nature this is the place to go. The house has the the amenities you need and more. The owner was great at sending detailed videos of exactly how to get to the property and walking trails near by. He was also Great at responding to any questions we had within minutes. The property and the area felt very safe as well. We highly recommend staying here and would love to return.

An older property near the edge of town. Host was very approachable, good information as he has lived in the area for years. Beds are comfortablebut several pillows were set aside as they were very used or showed signs of mold, (the owner bought some new ones after he was made aware), kitchen is stalked decently(we had our own spices) we had to wash cutlery and dishes that we were going to use as the drawers held too much debris to allow use without washing first. No AC but that wasn't an issue for us. There are fans in the rooms. We walked to town a few times(easy walk in 20 minutes) , lots of Orchids and other plants on the property. Pool was clean. One can expect to see peacocks on the property or building roofs at some time. Charles keeps gates onto the property locked at night(a common thing in El Valle), renters do have a gate key. I think dog barking at night anywhere in El Valle is common.

This is a hard one because we've stayed in many 5 star rentals and this one just didn't measure up. Toilet ring. Ant infestation. No pots big enough to make a large batch of both spaghetti and sauce. No blender. No stools for the eat-at counter. All of our other rentals were so much better. Host was friendly and helpful but somehow it just didn't suit us.

We had a very nice stay at Cabanas Potosi. The host was was very helpful and communicative and made things easy for us. The place has a lovely garden. There are only four rooms I think, which makes for a quieter stay. If you are looking for something super fancy then this place is probably not for you. We will recommend this place to others.

The location of this house provides an incredible view of the mountains. The pool / outside area is fantastic with lots of room and a covered eating area which is practical, especially if you are going during the rainy season. All of the rooms have large windows opening up to the great mountain view and the amazing infinity pool which I took advantage of everyday. The 2 bedrooms are a little tight with one of the bedrooms having minimal storage space. Some furnishings are a little worn down and the house can use a little TLC (Tender Loving Care). It is located in a beautiful, tranquil gated community. There is a very small grocery store nearby with your basics, so I would recommend buying groceries at one of the larger stores on your way to the house. Diogenes was very responsive and helpful before and during our stay and was there to great us when checking in. I would recommend renting an SUV ( 4-wheel drive) as you are surrounded by mountains with steep roads when exploring the numerous waterfalls around the area.

Property is beautiful and house is huge, great for large family. Pool area is very nice but listing does not mention the property is very steep and there are 80+ steps to get down and up from there. Also listing is inaccurate and shows the property is right in town, when it’s actually 7 or so kilometres out of town, and a car is necessary. Great house and grounds, lovely scenic area but be aware of listing inaccuracies.
