An exceptional property with breathtaking views

Our stay at Quinta da Ribeirinha was absolutely unforgettable. The owner Sebastião and his team were very welcoming, generous, courteous and always helpful when needed. Everyone could be easily reached which was reassuring to know. This new property was extremely clean, decorated with great taste and full of great amenities. Beds were clean and confortable, kitchen fully equipped and the site is simply breathtaking. The waterfall provides a very calming effect and adds to the beauty of the surroundings. The view on Douro river is amazing and the property is close to quite a few wineries as well as the city of Porto (one hour drive). Each room has a great view and is very comfortable. We were a party of eight and everyone agreed that their stay here was perfect in every way. Overall we HIGHLY recommend a stay at Quinta da Ribeirinha as it will be an unforgettable stopover for a few nights or a longer stay. It is a sure bet and deserves more than 5 stars. 5 Star for Everything!!!

The house was beautiful,magical,homey and the views from the pool and pergola were absolutely breathtaking. The kitchen was well appointed with everything you could possibly need. Especially for Paula our very talented and kind chef who came to cook for us on 2 occasions If I could give a 6 star I would as Victor the owner just couldn’t do enough for us. He was there when we needed him for restaurant recommendations, directions for the hiking path, cab bookings and kind enough to fix the coffee maker not once but twice without judgment of us not reading directions properly. Even though he lives on the property you never saw him unless we needed him. I can’t stress enough how wonderful this house is whether it’s for 10 people or just 4. We hope to go back again some day and share with our friends and family what we experienced.

We wanted a relaxing holiday with warm weather and beautiful views. This we got for sure! We didn’t want to do too much touring so a pool was a must. Quinta da Portinha ticked all the boxes and then some. Since this property is a vineyard an organic farm we had fresh eggs each day, oranges, lemons, blueberries, raspberries, beautiful lettuce and all sorts of herbs. Other things grow in the garden but, of course, they don’t all ripen at once. We wish to thank Guilhermina, Pedro, Daniela and her husband for their hospitality and kindness.

Paradise on the hillside

Amazing scenery, hospitality, communication. Peaceful and relaxing. Incredible 100year old residence in the duoro valley overlooking many wonderful vinho quintas. You can freely walk or drive and explore the beautiful duoro valley and its rich wine farming history. Leonel and Elza will guide you where you need to go and make you feel welcome like family.
